Wow, thanks!

So the KR-2L (Kerbodyne Advanced Engine) atmo ISP dropped from 320 to 280

NO WONDER my heavy lifter kept on tripping up its staging waypoints.

It's better this way, i think. No longer such a gamebreaking cheat of an engine.

it's atmosphere Isp has always been 280.

Hereby I re-emphasize how awesome the engine rebalance was. Sadly I lost the OP Kerbodyne LFB, but in return I got a Poodle that can heave 3 tons to orbit and a Mainsail that can do that with about 8. Coupled with the much-lighter SAS units, my space program has entered a new age of compact, reusable, easy-to-fly SSTO lift rockets.

I wonder if this is how Elon Musk felt after the first F9R test...

I discovered today that, while there is a small area of water that belongs to the KSP biome ( just in front of the runway ... it is only a couple of meters in, though ), you can't be splashed in KSP ... Live and learn, I guess :D

Early on I was shooting for the mountains NW of KSC in an under powered craft, and landed just past the lighter colored 'shores biome -what I assumed would be a 'grassland' reading. When I landed, I got tundra science.

That is a cold spot, all the souls of crashed Kerbals gather here to fish and barbecue ...

Small specks of out of place biomes have been in the game since biomes were introduced.

Yes, this is well known, if you go suborbital a bit to the west you get, grass, highland, mountain, tundra, shore, water biomes. This is not a 0.24 feature.

If you land in the east farside crater close to canyon you can get, east farside crater, highland crater, highland, midland, canyon, northwest crater, you can also get southwest however its a bit hard to find.

Rim of East crater has poles and polar lowland

Yeah they supposedly fixed up the biomes in um, 0.23 I think, but there's still a lot of random bits of biomes here and there. I get a Northwest Crater at the edge of the Twin Craters sometimes..
