forsaken1111
Same, note the extractor names. That being said I need to change those drill names. But I also see 0.00 which means you may have an old ORS version somewhere?Do the drills all have the same texture right now? May be a good idea to put a colored stripe or something on them. Geschosskopf
No debate, jut more of a footprint thing. What I do is color-code them myself by putting a Surface Light on or near the drill (I do the same with OKS/MKS modules which all tend to look alike). These tiny lights use the stock textures and are pretty low-poly models so do no real harm by existing, although having a bunch of light sources can hit you in other ways. Still, the lights don't have to be on the whole time so I think this is a good solution.
hazard-ish
Can someone help me out? I installed the mod recently, I'm really enjoying it, but my turbofans don't have an animation. I have seen that they are mesnt to spin and them go blurred but my engines and always in a blurred yet ststic state even in the VAB. They also have no sound to go with them? (I domt know if they are meant to though)
nli2work
I love your models, nli2work, but if the post on the toolbox retracts into the box, wouldn't it be taking up the room for the tools? The drawers doesn't go all the way to the center. There's enough room in the middle to fit the light boom.

nli2work
check the KSP_Data folder. generally any errors that occur during game time is logged in there is useful for troubleshooting.

hazard-ish
It's not really a problem that I have to recreate, it's just that the propellers always have the blurry effect around them and no noise. All other firespitter engines have the same problem.
nli2work
thats why I'm asking you to generate a clean output_log so we can see what's causing the problem. It could also be another MOD that's conflicting. No audio generally because either the audio is missing, or the folder structure is wrong and the module cannot locate the audio it needs. That's an installation error.I see your problem is not limited to just Ka engines. but more general issue with Firespitter.Whatever the case maybe, we need to see the output_log.txt as "propellers always have the blurry effect around them and no noise" is not very helpful in locating the issue. The steps listed above is where you need to start with. then generate a fresh output_log file. Edited August 30, 2014 by nli2work
hazard-ish
Haha, sorry! I appreciate that what I said probably wasn't the most informative error report, I'll upload it shortly. I've tested this with and without any other mods and on both the 32 and 64 bit, too.

hazard-ish
The result is the same when I am running just Karbonite and just Firespitter (or both together) and testing on both 64 bit and 32 bit didn't change anything. I have also posted my origional question on the firespitter discussion just in case. It could well be and issue with Firespitter and not Karbonite but I noticed it with whilst playing with just Karbonite originally so I posted it here first. How should I send you my output log? Would copying and pasting into Goodle Drive be ok?
hazard-ish
Oh dear, I've found the problem here. It was me! I must have backed upthe wrong version of KSP (version 0.24 not 0.24.2) which I used earlier which meant that things didn't work quite right. After updating KSP I've now tested everything again and it works as it should, making me feel very silly. Thank you for your time, nli2work, and offering to look through the output loge even though I wasn't very helpful. Now I can fully appreciate the mod and I must say, I love it

JeremyKermin
Quick question: does anyone know of anything that would cause the hotspot bubbles to not show up? Using KSP 0.24.2 and I removed all mods other than Karbonite 0.3.2.1. Also started a new game.

Screaming Candle
If I could make a suggestion - I'm starting over a career with this installed (0.3.3) and the location of the landing frame in the "Fuel Systems" block seems ... Well, it seems wrong. Not to be critical or anything, you understand, but I don't think of landing gear when one mentions fuel systems. I would advocate moving the LS-40 Landing Frame, the LSX Landing Frame (and taking out that massively overpowered battery) and move them to Advanced Construction and move the Radial Lander Leg to Landing. Also, the LS-40 might also want to be in landing or taken out altogether (since it appears to be a combination of the other two parts). I'd also move the Karbonite Sensor Array to Space Exploration or Science Tech. Also, in looking through sandbox mode, I don't see the landing leg by itself. Another idea is to move the converters to the electrics block. This suggestion ups the science you have to collect in order to use the Karbonite parts. In my mind, that's a good thing, since it slowly expands what you can do with the resource depending on where you apply your research. And speaking of research, I haven't done any on doing mods so I can't be much help. I'll try to fix that.Screaming Candle.
smart013
Sorry if this came up in the past, but when i updated kerbonite i got a weird "bug" where the framerate on planet surfaces dropped to near zero. I am pretty sure that its a installation error by myself, but i dont know where to start searching. Anyone with a hint around?
