How to enable 64 bit gameplay via steam?

Right now I'm using a shortcut directly to the new 64bit executable - but I'm just curious: Is there a way to make the game run in 64bit mode via steam?

i dont have KSP on steam, but i assume if there isnt an default like yet for the X64 client directly in steam, you allways can add it by the add game option in steam, and add the x64 client manually to steam..

It appears that this launch option should launch the 64bit version (right click game in Steam -> launch options):

C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kerbal Space Program\KSP_x64.exe" %command%

(insert your game path if it's not this)

If you go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\KerbalSpaceProgram

You simply rename KSP_x64.exe to KSP.exe and KSP_Data_x64 to KSP_Data

What you do with the original KSP.exe and KSP_Data is up to you.

In your steam library, click on "add a game to your steam library" then click "add a non-steam game". Locate the 64 bit .exe, and select that. The 64bit exe will be added to your library and you will also have your steam overlay added in. Hope this helps!
