Make easter eggs movable

Recommended Posts

Dear KSP development team,

One feature I would like you guys to consider seriously that in my opinion would be relatively simple to implement. Is to make the easter eggs hidden around the solar system movable. Give them a weight and make it so you can grab them and move them.

This would give another dimension to the game, you would have the option of retrieving them and putting them where you want to. Make different sizes, different weights or make them all the same weight, doesn't matter. But either way COLLECTING things is always fun, and the challenge of grabbing a 2ton obelisk off of eve, and returning it to kerbal would be great.

Best regards.

As soon as I saw the title, I imagined Jebediah dragging the

slowly back to KSC with a giant claw-rover, grinning all the way. While I agree that this would be kinda cool, I highly doubt that they would add this into the stock game.

This would need an new class of crafts that isn't visible on the map view or the tracking station.

They could even add an green asteroid with an monolith to Ike low polar orbit.

Collecting all the monoliths would be fun, especially if they add one to eve.

The monoliths should be very heavy, so collecting them is hard.

Obligatory link to the old "master plan" for Easter eggs: http://pastebin.com/3vvjushy

Ah yes, some sort of narrative. I'd love to see that in the game. Procedurally generated quests contracts do not make good narrative.

I think it would be neat if there were consequences to doing science on easter eggs.

Like if you scan all the monoliths in the system, suddenly you can't land on Vall anymore. :-D

Or maybe you unlock an new engine or other technology.

Kerbals who come within 5m of a Monolith (or all Monoliths) get the BadAss tag.
