Need a change of pace in your chase camera view? BahamutoD’s IMPROVED CHASE CAMERA is for you. This mod allows the camera to follow your surface velocity vector instead of sticking and rolling. Get a better sense for how you’re flying, what’s around you and just about any important angle by toggling this on

Well its freedom by giving you another option that previously was unavailable. I have wanted a camera that snapped back behind my aircraft after looking around. And it is just an option, you still have the other camera modes available with a key click.

Downloading now. Freedom isn't the word to describe this specific camera, but it is an additional one so yeah it counts as freedom in my mind. What I wish KSP had is a camera set up like this

where it follows velocity and rolls as well but does it slightly lazily.

The video was showing an older version. That snapping back 'feature' is an option now. By default you can move it around and it will stay there like it does normally, but the main point of the mod is that it chases your velocity vector rather than being rigidly attached to the craft. (Hence improved "chase" camera. Its meant to be better than the vanilla "chase" camera, not a replacement of free camera mode, etc.)
