Probe Control Room

I would like to see a probe control room which you can control all your probes/rovers and view their cameras and do experiments, ect.

You don't want that. There's only two ways it could be achieved, and both are equally bad:

1. Simulate ALL probes physics simultaneously

The amount of physics calculations will soon be eating up all your CPU, so your control room will be a snapshot/lagging room the moment you have more than a handful of probes.

2. Simulate the physics only on the selected probe

This building exists: It's called the Tracking Center, where you can select and fly your probe.

There is no other way - you have to simulate physics to be able to steer anything. I'm sorry.

And how is this different than just going to the probe and controlling it like normal?

I think OP is looking for a mission control type experience. where you cant see your probe or rover in 3rd person, and have to control it via whatever cameras or sensors it has, just like in real life.

If thats the case, OP might also like a mod that includes control imput delays based on its distance from kerbin, but idk that mod.

You can get that experience already by flying a probe only in map mode, and only through Mechjeb commands

unless it gives you an option to automate process somehow (eg. give probe an order to drive 1km ahead without constant overseeing from player) - I don't see a point.

The current mod implementations of these are Probe Control Room and Remote Tech 2.

Still would like to see Squad add this feature in the future but for now this mod will do...
