I would buy new Sims if i had money but spent most of my cash on upgrading my PC, i bought 2TB drive.

I heard that sims 4 will be have moderate requestment. But some people say not masculine (i don't want to offend LGBT people:D ) to buy Sims 4

Just my 2 cents: I would not buy from EA if I did not really have to ... especially their repeated scam of selling a new version of game X and letting the same extensions follow as for the last version and for ripoff prices.

Do NOT buy this game. Boycott EA as best as you can. They are doing to Sims 4 what they did with Sim City. By taking out everything that was fun about the games. And then market it off as futures dlc. TC you ask "What we will get". I'll tell you what you DONT get.

Edit: Heres an even larger, more enraging list I found on The Sims forums. This is just pathetic.

---------------

CONFIRMED MISSING:

NO OPEN WORLD - You can't just walk from house to house without loading screen...

No Story Progression - Aside from Sim's aging its out!

No terrain tools other than paint - REALLY !?!?!

No pools

No toddlers

No hot tubs

No grocery stores

No create a style (CAST) - NOT TECHNICALLY POSSIBLE IN FUTURE EXPANSION

No color wheel, predefined to ~20 colors

No garage doors (for those décor cars)

No gardeners for hire - Who is going to cut my lawn?

No basements - Initially not part of Sims 3 base, patched in later release and now considered base feature

No way to watch the sim commute to work/school

No modifications to public space - NOTE: The park in the demo is a mix of a community lot and public space.

No favorites (food, color, music)

No swimming / swimwear - Including lakes, fountains, etc.

No rabbit holes at all - Sadly the fix was the sim goes off screen instead of fixing it so the locations were working lots

No private schools (or even on screen schools for that matter)

No random deaths

No newspapers

No pool tables

No tragic clown or social bunny

No repo man - Your toilets are now safe!!!

No ability to place lots using the world editor

No party invitations from other Sims (ok this may be a duplicate as it is apparently part of Story Progression)

No customization of multi-tone hair color (users select only main color)

No male body hair

No website for browsing exchange or store (its in-game only)

No skin slider

No diseases or illness

CONFIRMED CRIPPLED/LAME:

Incompatible simpoint currency - DON'T BUY BUNDLES IF YOU PLAN TO USE THEM ON SIMS 4

Completely FLAT building lots - That's right we've gone back to living in a flat world!

All buildings on a lot must either have/have not a foundation. No mixing for sheds, garages, etc.

Fewer floors/levels

32-bit executable - Intel has not sold mainstream consumer PC 32-bit processors in like 7+ years and it should have been 64-bit (to address more RAM which is very important to this game)

Smaller lots. Lots are limited to 50x50 instead of 64x64.

Loading screens for individual lots

SIGNIFICANTLY smaller "worlds" of <25 lots compared to 125+ lots

Teens are same height as adults and they along with elders all look nearly identical.

Fewer user selectable traits per Sim within CAS (additional ones assigned during gameplay)

MOST LIKELY MISSING (but not confirmed):

No create a world

No usable cars

No bikes

No swings

Premium Membership REQUIRED to get certain sets on release day or at all

CONTESTED MISSING (responses vary):

No ghosts

No aliens

No MAC version - Answer changed from "after PC release" to "no comment" which has 100% of the time ultimately meant "no".

If you appreciate video games what so ever. You will not purchase TS4. EA is the root of all evil in the gaming industry and they need to take a hike. Anyway.. it looks like EA is gunning for a triple crown for the worst company award. Good.. they deserve it. That makes two amazing game series from my childhood they destroyed.

Guess I'll just stick with The Sims 3 and Sim City 4 seeing is how they are VASTLY superior games.

Actually that is no problem IMHO ...

the best Sims of all times, Sims 2 also had no open world.

As far as I know, EA decided to use a mix of Sims 2 and Sims 3 for Sims 4 in these regards:

No open world

BUT

Story Progression and Aging also for non active households

(actually this was the only thing that made Sims 3 a little bit better than Sims 2 in my eyes, i.e. that in Sims 3 you were not forced to play all other households from time to time, in order to prevent paradoxa like children suddenly turning older than their parents)

Not for me Godot. My Sims traveled all over the community seamlessly going from house to house, business to business. But that's just me.. and could I enjoy the game without it? Sure.. but for the rest of that list.. makes me cringe.

You don't understand. The sims 3 was seamless. If the sims 4 has loading times, it has to be a trade off for better designed and bigger game areas. Guess what? It's not! Yay!

A seamless area also has its disadvantages ...

I don´t know if you have Late night ... but if you have, you might find one thing often missing in the clubs and bars of the city:

Customers

Except from maybe the hot spot of the night, you will often be hard pressed to find more than 1-2 customers in most nightlife locations.

That was different in Sims 2 with its not open world (as here, customers just got created upon loading ... partially filler customers 8that were just new created sims, which weren´t members of the neighborhood) and partially members of the Sims neighborhood).

This way, nightlife locations and restaurants in Sims 2 had the amounts of customers they deserved

A company with the size of EA can easily fix this little problem without making the game stop and load.

Maybe ... but maybe this would require the customers to get much better computers than the average Sims-Buyer currently has, in order to play such a version of a Sims-Game.

It also may make such a Sims Game more prone to bugs ... just rmeember how buggy Sims 3 plays if you don´t use lots of NRAAS` mods
