mechjeb2 and ksp 0.24

I have updated mechjeb2 now running in KSP0.24, working through some of the contracts, not got too far in the tech tree yet. Mechjeb2 is lacking the ascent guidance and landing guidance modules though - is this because i've not yet progressed far enough in the tech tree?

Yes, it is. Ascent guidance is near the end of the tech tree.

if you are doing contracts, it will be quite a while before you will have any actual use for ascent mode anyway.

every mission will have (at least mine) 2-3 instances of "in-flight" staging needs at different altitudes/speed. which you will likely miss either the speed or altitude if you just disable MJ autostaging and try to hit them on a normal ascent.

No worries, I'm not just doing all the contracts, I'm also doing orbits and min landings for fun, just wondering if the mechjeb2 update had installed correctly, since I heard there were some compatibility issues. It would seem it is working fine and I just have to unlock more of the tech tree to gain the missing functionality.
