Its Rocket Science

Actually, the government might even support your efforts, especially if it means it\'ll have the youngest people to launch a rocket into orbit in it\'s country.

That\'d certainly make the news if you pull it off.

But then the government might make itself liable for any damages that may occur. An orbital rocket is a controlled explosion, and killing high school students with explosions, or destroying a city that the rocket accidentally impacts, is horrid PR.

First major problem is funding, second is legal, and third is building the damn thing.

There\'s also a major problem you aren\'t considering-safety.

Trying to build your own suborbital rocket with no training is a good way to end up severely injured or dead, especially if you\'re planning to use solid rockets.

I believe he said he isn\'t going to use solid rockets, but yes safety must come first. Then a university diploma, then years of training, then legality, then funding, then construction.

Or, make a square frame and attach balloons on each corner and hang the rocket in the center. The rocket exhaust might explode the balloons, but you don\'t really need them anymore.

I think the frame would have to be a prism of some sort. If you hung it from the top corners the weight should self right it. If you got really creative with framing and weights you might even be able to get the rocket above the balloon, but that would be a lot of weight.

1.from new zeland you will get ether a polar orbit or very slanted orbit

2.you will need at least 3 comunication places to keep in touch with it
