Viper Combat VTOL

[Rune]

Hey guys! This one is headed straight to the skunkworks, because it is very much not a peace-loving machine. Featured on HatBat's impressive

(itself featured on the Daily Kerbal, it's that good so check it out!), it was done mostly for the aesthetics, but it turned out a funny little VTOL. So, here it is:

Regarding armament, well, it's definitely nothing to write home about, but I think I am going to start using Bahamuto's Armoury, mostly because it is awesome, so I recommend slapping a couple of miniguns instead of the decoupler rounds I provide for some serious explody fun.

Also, it has an abort function that should come in handy if you set the thrust limiter much above 50%, since the aerodynamics are not really honed. At low thrust, though, it's quite stable while being able to turn on a dime. You just need to foresee the future a bit to handle the jet's throttle lag, but any veteran of airbreathing VTOLs will get the handle soon, though it remains quite sporty. Really, just a craft to fool around KSC doing flybys, honing reflexes and spilling people's coffee (suitable music is recommended when doing so).

Me, you, and Cupcake should have a VTOL race someday when MP comes out.

(Also, a little tip: if you can fit it in, try using a clipped-in O-10 RCS engine, LV-909, or another small chemical engine to assist the jets, it'll help when in comes to compensating for throttle lag.)

Haha, you have no idea how many problems I had with throttle lag when I was trying to film this thing. But it looks cool as hell so it's fine with my needs
