Also, there is a new tank i have a developing that is meant to surpass all others in the "Rotation Weapons Mount"

enjoy it very much. sorry for poor video Professionalism. 8D !!!

here is download

http://sal-c-1.weebly.com/special.html

you make a very good point...

although i have not tested this i suspect it will do "some" damage to panels.

xX FURTHER TESTING NEEDED!!! Xx

oh god man. pls my ears.

The tank however is uh... really big. The turret looks really wobbly and easy to shoot out. You should try to lower the profile of your tanks or they will get flipped over.

Alright well I'm thinking of starting a game with less powerful weapons allowed so battles don't end up looking like the cold war with both sides able to obliterate the enemy with a 100th of their full armory. Does anyone think of this as a good idea? It would basically limit weapons to having either a specific set total impact tolerance limit or only allowing pre-provided weapon sub-assemblies. Sadly this would eliminate the trial and error we've all spent on designing perfect weapons of destruction, but it would bring the odds down from a match of "whoever shoots first wins" to a match of "whoever has the best consistent aim wins".

I'm sort of just brainstorming over here so if anyone wants to do a game with me or likes the idea of this please reply >:3.

we actually made some rules for this, but those are several pages back.

If you wanna setup a tank or orbital battle I'll be up for it.

Just finished the first prototype of my new tank! As I mentioned I'm a complete novice at this, so I'm sure there's a million and one things wrong with it. Let me know what you think of it and if there's anything that obviously needs changing. :)

Not a bad tank for a beginner, but if you want to use cockpits on your tanks, make sure to mount the weapon on a separate girder clipped inside or it will easily get shot off by even the most basic weaponry.

If you want to make a powerful tank, experiment with making a low profile tank destroyer esque design. If you find that your armoring capabilities are supbar, you should invest in making guided missile carriers as I-beam cannons are

having more and more trouble shooting through armor.

i have made many different tanks with this smoother rotation.

also, what do you mean "lower the profile" the entire tank is basically flat except for the small, and hard to precisely hit turret!...

I'VE DONE TESTS USING YOUR TANKS!!! it took a long time to hit in precisely that spot.*

DO YOU REALLY WANT TO SEE WHAT MY TANKS CAN DO!!

*when it hits it is crippling.

My latest tank prototype! I decided to create a whole new chassis to accommodate a much sleeker turret. It has a crew of 5 Kerbals and is equipped with two I-Beam missiles. Let me know what you think. :)

It really looks good! Welcome to the "I like jumping things" Club XD

KRKN is proud to introduce the GRESTIN TANK. Born in the crucible of battle. It's a perfectly balanced tank it terms of cost (79000), weight (29.9 tons) and partcount (358). It has decent armor and hull which has been under rigorous tests that gives it good staying power on the battlefield. It's lightweight, fast and stable.

Equipped with four (4) Heavy I-beams and with one (1) Compact missile

Working on a few new things here and there.

Nice! but I made one too but uses stock jet engines. Anti-gravity "hover" tanks are pretty useless in real life though, so are the hovercraft tank variant. I used to love them but then I realized they are impractical. One good reason is "Recoil". (well the anti-grav version can absorb it though depending on sci-fi setting and tech). Even the realistic hovercraft tank is impractical too. (Like this)

UNLESS they are the ANTI-AIRCRAFT variant where the main guns are pointing upward thus negating the recoil. For me that is more realistic.

My hovertank doesn't have that recoil issue. It use s a glitch that makes the wheels appear hidden.

that tank looks sort of like an IS-3

Zamo, I'm interested in a tank battle. :)

I just need to complete my light and heavy tanks.

The light one it likely going to be somewhat more like a UGV and a tank having an unholy baby, while my heavier model is going to be based off of the Merkava MBT.

Just finished some new crafts!

idBISlo.pngThis is the KUSC Scout Tank - Maverick. It's cheap, light (7.2 tonnes) and is surprisingly well armoured for a tank of it's size.

m5Nxk0k.png(Obligatory tank jump screenshot)

9bAdd7s.pngAnd this is the KUSC - 57mm AT gun. At 2.7 tonnes and only 35 parts, it's best used in large numbers, though each individual unit carries a deadly missile.

Let me know if you think these could be used in this upcoming team battle! :)

that little tank gun reminds of this:

E79lwRK.png

the upside of mine is lower profile and part-count :D

Also I wanna join this team battle

Can we have it take place in the desert near the Pyramid?

Also tanks will need to be spaced out 3km away from each other to minimize lag, so we either have to limit tonnage or partcount (probably both)

Guys this is my first post here but I thinK may have thought of a missile design that could be REALLY dangerious: so you know how if you clip toomany intakes or wheels or other things together when physics loads it will spaz out and then explode. Well you can stop the spazing with a liberal aplication of struts which have a 12 metre per second impact tollarance. so here's what I was thinking-take a spazy chunk of clipped wheels strutiffy it and then fire it at the enemy ship so when it impacts the struts break and the spazzyness starts rippng the other ship to peices. Can't get to KSP for a while so can somebody try it out?

So how do we team up.

Who's side are whos?

gentlemen please prepare your tanks.

post what you will use.

Who want's to set-up the file?

I'm out of town ATM, but I'll get my tanks up the second I can. (I also need to finish my scout tank :P)

I will say that if we're doing this with teams, that I'll join whichever team needs a player to balance out the game.

Also, as Zekes has said (and I have experience with from an old battle with Daemon), the Pyramids region is rediculously mountainous.

I'd recommend having the battle either in and around one of Kerbin's river valleys, or at KSC 2.
