The 1.25 meter ones, I think it's due to the way the backblast from the SRB thrust works in 0.25, but I'll slightly alter the ship's "muzzle" anyways, to try and fix the problem.

Id try to see how your struts are attached. 1.25 SRBs act weird if the struts are not angled straight. Also try using the blue decouplers instead of the yellow ones so they explode causing less chance to flip the missile out

Are you rotating or are they strutted down. That used to kill my accuracy.

I'll check the struts, and I am using the blue stack separators instead of regular 1.25 meter decouplers. In any case, if the missiles keep bugging out I can always swap them for guided LFO-fueled ones.

EDIT: Also rotation shouldn't be an issue, since the ship's really sturdy and strong, and the main hull ahs around 8 ASAS (2.5 meter gyros) units inside it, with large RTG-and-battery-based "reactors" powering them.

Doesn't matter if it's sturdy, if the missile taps anything on the way out it'll go spinning.

Have you tested this ship out? It seems to have no weapons, unless they're concealed in the hangar. It also has no armor so it might get badly beaten in a fight.

Most of us have companies where you can download our ships and try out the weapons against your ship, and try out your weapons against ours. Go take a look at http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/96093-Zokesia-Skunkworks-(NEW-Drekevak-XXV!) or http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74229-The-Mechani-Union-Advanced-Technology-Simplified-NOW-HIRING (these companies are not mine). They have some good ships available for download so you can see what you're going up against before you brazenly throw around challenges.

I, long wanting to participate in these battles, believe I have something worthy of being the first member of my fleet. I present:

The Vertex-Class Corvette [MK I]

I decided to create something slightly less mundane than the infinite pylon-like ships others are building, so I made something resembling Project Orion crossed with a dodecahedron (though it is neither). Hooray for hexagonal symmetry!

Anyway, it is armed with, at full capacity, 18 I-Beam missiles and one guided torpedo, allowing it to perform its duty as a fighter- and light-vessel-hunter, something its 4 km/s of delta-v, provided by two LV-Ns, assist it in doing. It is similarly high in survivability, despite massing in at just over 34 tons; it can bounce I-Beams easily, and absorb SRB missiles without excessive damage. Similarly, each sixth of the ship is redundant, allowing it to remain functional even if the majority of the craft is destroyed.

Nonetheless, I seek further input; feedback would be appreciated.

that thing looks scary... i don't even know where I'd begin to look for weak spots...

If I can intimidate zekes with my armoring scheme, I know I have done a good job. :D

Damn, just realized that structural intakes have the same impact tolerence as the metal panels.

This is why I always look through the new parts--I saw that and thought, "Wait a minute..."

It is rather odd that those intakes are as durable as I-Beams but are less than a fifteenth the mass, but whatever. The Vac-Co ones (the 0.5 IntakeAir intakes) have the same impact tolerance, but both are rather hard to place; they do not like to be attached to things.

As to what I intend to do with this, I shall probably design a fighter or two and then challenge someone to a small (>50 tons) engagement, so as to test them out in the only real way one can: Battle.

If you want scary…wait till y'all see the modifications I made to one my my ships.

First person to guess what ship I have been working on and at least one thing I did to upgrade it gets reputation and the chance to be the first to download it when it's done

The "Cubic" looks great, but I'd recommend adding some small protective bits that block missiles from hitting the engines in the back.

Yeah, the duped missile is a bug I've got with a bunch of my ships that stops me working on them. I'm rebuilding the Cubic right now :/. And don't worry about control points, I'm one step ahead of you there.

Don't feel bad about having to rebuild

My biggest piece of advice to anyone is if it isn't perfect to you, try again.

Ive build tons of ships ever sense I first started battling but in that time only 3 ships have really stayed in my arsenal.

I'm finished with my new battleship, my first ship ready for .25 combat! Its looks are nothing compared to HatBat and Frozen's ships but it's pretty good for me. I think it looks like a WWII submarine.

RI Orrim-class battleship:

102 tons

3 nuclear engines

4 guided "kino" missiles

klaw for salvaging missiles and fuel

A 60-ton destroyer based on the armor style of the battleship, but turned sideways. It needs a bit more work.

Armed with two kino missiles and 4 upgraded I-beam rockets.
