So, considering I have time today, and was thinking of trying a match, I'd like to know a few questions first....

1) Does everyone use hyperedit (is it legit ?)

2)if I start the save in my modded install, is it ok unless I use a modded part ?

3)Is there anyone willing to be patient with a new noob ? :P

1: Yes. (Only for setup, not when in battle)

2: Yes, just make sure there are no mod parts on the ship for sure. We don't want to break someone's KSP, now, do we?

3: I will be patient with you, if you want a fight.

How this works: front of missile hits and pushes ship underwater, breaking some things. Rest of missile hits water and explodes harmlessly before it can touch the ship. There's a limit to how big an effective anti-ship missile can be. If you can make a ship that gets pushed underwater before being destroyed, then no missile can kill it.

Has anyone tried to build a ship with most of the hull underwater, with just turrets sticking out? That way the hull would be immune to missiles plunging straight down and you'd have to kill each turret one by one to destroy the ship.

Alternately, use a warhead made of structural pylons with 999 impact tolerance so they don't explode on contact with water, it will definitely kill the ship if it's that heavy.

Recent orbital tests have shown that the Mk-III Victory class is less resilient than we thought. Therefore, the flagship of our fleets is being rebuilt again, taking inspiration from many other warships, including but not limited to:

The 'Britannia' Class Battleship.

The 'Temeraire' Mk-II Dreadnought.

The 'Royal Sovereign' Class Battlecruiser.

The 'Temeraire' Mk-IV Heavy Frigate.

I'm hoping that this one will be much better.

Don't.... it's not a good idea.

@ScriptKitt , i haven't finished my turn yet but i can show you the ships i will use (no name yet, i suck a naming ships)

So, i will be a space pirate in this battle

2 Heavy Fighter (48 T, 6000 D/V)

TbFlqWr.jpg

2 Drek MK XXVII-III, i hope it won't create any conflict between Zokesia and MU (though i'm sure they are already at war)

The ships are currently in Vall Low Orbit, they are heading to Pol to salvage the colony ship

Sorry for using them, my only capital ship ATM weight 230 T, and is made to fight on a planet with an atmosphere.

haha, it's fine :D Im glad someone else is using them, I just hope they're useable ( I havent used that version in a while, plus i'm a bit eccentric in my ship's use methods)

I've still got you beat in that category :D when empty she'll do 50 m/s straight line, 47 m/s in a turn (and this is after taking a guided missile hit to the rear). Fully loaded it's 39.1 m/s and 40 in a turn.
