Kerb 35 Kraken (fighter jet replica)

I made a replica of the Saab 35 Draken, a Swedish fighter jet designed in the 1950s, with its characteristic "double delta" wing shape. It flies pretty well in KSP too. 1 toggles the antenna, 2 toggles the ladders.

Looks like the Kraken name is spreading pretty quickly. :) I'd like to know how well it performs vs my FX-II Super Cthulhu. :) (12 G's sustained)

So when can we expect the Kiggen?

Heh, I'm working on a slightly different military replica atm, but that's a good idea! Or perhaps the Kripen. I should make a collection thread for this stuff.

I named my triplane that mostly consists of stock parts + a few firespitter parts Kraken Dr, I. it does 300+ m/s after doing a flip.

Just after a flip:

We use it as a training craft!

It even tries to break itself while going at such high speeds!

NOTE: You probably shouldn't try to land at such speeds.

And, I have a more faithful F/A-18 Super hornet. Drop tank and weapons officer included. (Missiles were upgraded to actual AIM-9X specs. I forgot to put in the second pilot in some of the screenshots, but it has a second cockpit along with extremely good low speed handling).

I think it could come in handy in ground battles. Once multiplayer gets released, anyone want to dogfight me? :) :)

Didn't the SA-6 only have Three missiles?

Also, how easy to control are these missiles?

Also, my Launcher is called 2K11 Krug(Circle) while you made a 2K12 Kub(Cube)

Yea, it has 3. I originally wanted a SA-6, but switched to a SA-11 due to symmetry issues. (Craft name is incorrect. :) XD)

It's easy to control them, it's just that I made these for show. It's my 'Iron Dome' inspired SAM that I use for actual battles. TEL included. :)

Super maneuverable supersonic missiles with fine-controls. It even has a reinforced warhead to kill heavy aircraft, and I've shot down one of the retired FX-II prototypes with it.

Lets just admit that, in multiplayer war, the Artillery with Missiles that you can control would be the most powerful thing ever.

XD It is powerful, but I could outmaneuver those missiles with the F/A-18 Super Hornet. (Maybe not the AIM-9X I equipped it with. Those things are scary.) Also, the Iron dome I built probably is just as effective as the SA-11 or your own guided missile system. (I still have some... surprises. :) )

So, yeah. Guided missiles from ground launchers would be a nightmare for pretty much any adversary... especially naval vessels, enemy vehicles, and enemy aircraft. I look forward to the day when we black out the sky with SAM's. :)
