Looking even better than last time! I like the locking mechanism. In other news, I'm making progress on mine! I think I am getting the hang of bending things, but the truth is Klaws offer much more degrees of freedom (>20º in each direction!), plus the ability to lock things in place. This thing I'm working on kinda proves that, and I have an idea to make it even more reliable. Still, I can't deny it makes for clean ramps, if only I could make it touch the ground to get back in and stop twitching I would be happy. Ground clearance would be a problem if I used Klaws for that part, I think:

I have to hide them a bit better, still a rough first draft, but I had some rigidity problems making the legs not hit the I-Beams, and I just said: MOAR struts! They are massless and physics-less, so they actually improve FPS due to rigidity if you overuse them slightly. Plus, you can ghost through them no problem.

Or I may convert the whole ramp to a Klaw hinge, make it longer so it's actually the whole bay floor, and it'll probably be end up more rigid when closed. I just need a reliable (and cheap) method of putting the ramp back at the original height for the other side of the door to grab it, that work with and without heavy weights on top of it. Somehow I don't think the puny RCS engines I have on the rear side of the door will do the job for, say, an orange tank. Hum, perhaps with lading gears? In any case, the derivative of this I ended up with works to get the rover in and out, so I probably will release something based on it at some point in the future (certainly not soon).

Rune. The Klaw hinge is also extremely efficient, part-wise.

Neato you guys, look forward to seeing the finished product.

One day i will master making a sweet ssto, but not this day haha.

Will be sure to upload it when i do, im a long way away from getting my super gliders into orbit.

Further away from getting something with a pay load.

Hopefully my new wing design will get me there with my next ssto.

You can angle the ramp up until it remains horizontal after it falls down rune
