0.625 m jet engines.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just thought I would run this past you fine people. I have wanted 0.625 m jet engines for ages. It would open up so many opportunities for smaller aircraft.

And seeing as we have teeny tiny rockets it makes sense.

What say you?

Yes, please. I have often wanted an airbreathing engine but the 1.25m jets were too large/powerful.

General Electric GE-90, over 3m in diameter.

Also, where can I buy the jet-powered Batman-esque aircraft pictured above?

Its a one off apparently. Custom made. ;.;

That's near perfect scale size for large KSP jets!

We really do need electric propellers for Jool/Laythe/Eve/Duna exploration. On Laythe it's possible to bring jet fuel, but for the others it's basically rovers or tons of rocket fuel.

And just to preempt: I know about firespitter, I'm saying it would be nice to have this stock.

Hmm, it would be nice to have the choice. I have nothing against props in the game. I still think there should be props for water.

Boats need love too.

Now that my VTOL engine is working nicely, I'm moving on to make some 0.625m parts and a jet engine is at the top of the list. Of course you can just rescale the Mk1 stuff, but I think they deserve their own, tiny style. That said, I'd love to see it stock.

Me and andrew123 were discussing this idea yesterday. :) I'd love tiny jets as the current ones are huge!

Agreed! Apart from enabling additional peace(keeping) craft, It would enable a new era of micro drones. Imagine landing a micro payload on eve.
