Also what folks tend to forget is the ratio of ship mass to fuel tank mass. A 6KT ship with a single spherical tank is just not going to cut it, despite the high DV. Hence why you have some pretty large tanks. So a comparison of fuel mass to your ship's dry weight is likely in order

I created this initial test ship based on the "blueprint" image posted on the OP. All the parts I used where what appeared to be on that "blueprint". Presumably, you made that "blueprint" so what dV did you end up with? If it's the same as what I'm seeing, then all is well. If it was alot more, then I know one of my other mods is causing a problem (possible Near Future which also introduced Liquid Hydrogen as a fuel).

Isn't that the VTOL engine?

No it's not a VTOL Engine. What I asked is http://imgur.com/lQOTzk1 this.

Anyway, RoverDude, I have 2 suggestions :

1. How about adding 3.75m octagonal drone core? Interplanetary shipping is a work of many burdens (for provisions, and for emotional inconvinience of crewkerbals, either), and it seems that unmanned interplanetary liner is very very nice idea.

2. I wish VTOL Engine have 'control from here' function. (treating the top of VTOL Engine as 'forward') As now, landing with VTOL (especially on the Autopilot mode) is tremendously hard, except when I put a docking port on the top of vessel. (to do 'control from here' at the docking port) But just putting a not-using docking port as purely for an align indicator seems quite strange. VTOL Engine itself having 'control from here' function treating the top of vessel as 'forward' seems to perfect answer of this problem.

Sure, toss in a request for a probe core. Also - a tip, the reason your reactor has that vertical attachment point is so you can drop a probe core to control from for VTOL

As you see, I don't use NPG on my honeybadger excavator and honeybadger-integrated MKS MK3s. All of my ships are powered by Solar Panels (except IK) and have no HB cockpit. So my ships (except IK) don't have that attachment point you mentioned.

Forcing to have NPGs on all HB ships is not your intention, isn't it?

Has anybody tried to use the 5x5 adaptor from the starlifter parts? Because I'm getting some wierd behavior while using it launching from kerbin. It keeps veering to the north and is really difficult for MJ to control.

I'm using FAR, so, I suspect some sort of aerodynamic wierdness going on with it. Obviously that part was probably never meant to be used in atmosphere, but hey.

You do realize you posted it on github yesterday, right? Give the guy some time to respond, it's not his job, it's a hobby.

I'm sure Rover reads his github issues regularily. However he has also been very vocal that he is working hard directly with Squad for the 1.0 release. So unless your Github issue is a game breaking bug, I would not expect anything to happen with it until after the KSP 1.0 release.

It's a mass difference issue - I have plans to fix that.

And yes, I read GitHub daily. And as I've warned folks for the past month or so - I am up to my armpits helping with 1.0, making some spectacularly cool things for everyone. Also note that a github issue is by no stretch of the imagination a commitment, it just means I'll look at it and possibly consider it.

That's very likely just an issue with stock KSP fuel flow and flow mode rules. I believe LH is stage priority flow

Yeah well, I'm using this setup with the kontainer pods and regular 5m tanks (either KWrocketry or Novapunch). This one doesn't have the normal tanks connected to the kontainer-pods-as-tanks central stage since I'm trying a different staging setup. Also, I keep getting problems with this thing not turning to the west and keeps wanting to flip over eastwards and even with the giant torus SAS, it still does that at the top of the grav turn. Though last time it was because of the fuel balance wierding out.

Edit: Those are the HX engines from B9, LFO fuelled.
