....The BattleStar cinematic isn't going so well :P. I've just ran in to a point where I'm realizing I've bitten off more than I can chew. It's almost impossible to shoot it, the lag is so bad that I'm having to boost the time of 5 second shots from 30 seconds to 5 minutes just so I can get rid of all the lag. This might have been ok under normal circumstances, but filming action shots like this simply doesn't work when I have to use such an extreme technique to decrease lag, the explosions happen so fast that it's silly. Anyone got any ideas as to what I should do? I don't want to scrap the project as I'm quite proud of what I've already done, but finishing it will probably make me go bald.

EDIT: Here's everything I've edited so far, it might give you a few ideas as to where I can go with this.

EDIT 2: This is an updated version of the video, it adds some tweaks I've done in the last few days.

My Advice. Take a break from it.

You have been working on that thing for almost a month now.

Try working on some of your other projects or try out some of the crafts that have been uploaded on this thread.

Don't work yourself to death.

To be totally honest…I really could care less about the B9 video. Yeah I know that seems harsh and Im sure you are doing a great job on it but as stated in the past me and B9 have never been the best of friends (large amounts of parts plus Macbook Pro don't go well together). Not saying I won't watch it when it comes out but I personally would rather watch the end conclusion of season 1 to KS. Heck this crafts submission page has given me a reason to play KSP again. If it wasn't for this thread and the KS series…I would probably just go back and play PS3.

Again thats just me. So I'm not specking for everyone else

I totally agree. You have enough work to do with KS, and this is just one thing so it can come out at any time.

Thanks for the advice man, I think that's what I'm going to do. To be honest I find filming KS to be a little tedious some times (note: it's just filming, I love everything else. And it's only the boring parts like putting GMI ships into position and some of the cinematic work I dislike), but at the moment: filming KS and finishing the B9 cinematic sounds like the comparison between sun bathing and being water boarded.

I understand it can be hard. I was simply stating what I would like to see. But I also don't want you to burn yourself out. Take some time off if you need to. Heck I have added a whole bunch of craft just for you. Have fun with them. I can wait on video if you feel burned out. Just don't take a year or longer (cough* MD cough*).

Heck if you want some help with script ideas, feel free to PM me. I don't have a clue about filming but I have a huge imagination.

I have to agree with this too. Heck you already mentioned in the short preview that it takes place years after KS so watching that might end up like watching the first series of KS then watching the epilogue without knowing the middle or the end.

If you don't enjoy making it, well....don't. There's no obligation to make these videos if you don't feel like it(Please don't disappear forever)

Mostly agree with this part(The rest can't really transfer anyway) This thread had me building so much and so large I pretty much killed my PC in the process.(Probably trying to go to Lathe legitimately in this when bringing a craft with half the parts brought me into shutdown the last time actually)

Good news guys, I spent some time rewriting and I'm pleased with the results. For the past few weeks I've been watching Breaking Bad, so expect some people to die in the upcoming and penultimate episode of the Kethane Station.... MHWA HA HA HA HA HA.

Just take a break, let it sit on the side for a while, you know I could assist in this, I have a serious rig but seriously.

You should focus on the main series I think people enjoy the story+action in this series rather then just big ships shooting at each other. I think people want you to have some time with the submissions, a lot of us would like some feedback. After all, we made these ships for you :) we do need feedback on them to make them better.

We don't doubt that the B9 video will be great. Its just not really what we are wanting right now

Hey just out of curiosity will you be giving credit to the original makers of ships that don't specify have a name or company attached to them.

For example, the crafts in my "others" file you can use however you see fit and they don't have to be associated with my company in the series but will you be giving credit to me as the maker in the description and end credits?

Yeah, there's going to be end credits for every episode of season 2 giving a mention to all the people who helped with the creation by making ships or helping me with the video/script.

Will the ships/companies submitted here make it into season 1 or will they all be in season 2?

I'm not too sure yet, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
