Just..go..and take a minute...or shall I say a ride and watch a video on "No Man's Sky" Any video because after watching any video you'll start to have an understanding on what this game is and if you're interesting in a sci fi space game...well...what else is there to say but....your dream game, everything you ever wanted in terms of size, diversity, options, life, coding, basically ANYTHING you EVER wanted will be in this game.

So please...tell me what you think about this masterpiece which....is...mostly speechless to talk about...

From what I've heard, it practically stole the show at E3, and I can see why. It does look like fun, but I've also heard... things. Things about PlayStation exclusivity... I do hope that's not the case. I guess only time will tell, but I can hope.

If Sony had exclusitivity-any kind of exclusitivity, even timed-they'd be shouting it from the rooftops. Just look at how much marketing effort they've put into highlighting the timed exclusivity of some small DLC packs for Destiny.

Good point :)

Might be cool, I like the artstyle. The world is waiting for a game where you can fly a ship, walk around it, and get out onto a planet, just like it waited for open-world multiplayer zombie survival till it got DayZ

It still has to be approved by Sony and Microsoft.

So? Many games get approval from other companies to be released on their platforms, it's a console thing.

That doesn't mean they could change anything, since they could both easily swap one for the other, it's better to ignore it entirely.

Try again, again.

I don't want this to be turned into a console vs pc war or company war, I just want to hear your thoughts on the game.

I can't wait for it because it looks absolutely beautiful. Kind of like minecraft and skyrim in an interstellar setting in which you can appoint yourself goals or try to head to the center of the galaxy which from what I heard is going to be tough and if you die, you start all over. Maybe that will make or break the game.

From what I know, it is coming to PS4, may or will come to PC but I don't know of any plans for Xbox. Either way I don't care. I don't have a gaming pc but I know I'll get a steady frame rate on the PS4 when I get one and the developers seem really excited about the project so I know they won't mess up, at least their idea of it. It won't turn into an EA " rushed " project with a bajilion microtransactions. Eitherway, if you like the style and layout of freeroam sci fi games that isn't just a " shoot em up" violence game, then I, personally, will think you'll enjoy it. Pretty sure I will if it follows my expectations :D

Please quit the console versus PC discussion. It is not only highly annoying, it is also completely off topic. Go make your own thread.

Regarding the game: I like the art style and feel that there is a lot to be done with procedural generation. It all depends on the gameplay though, I have seen too many games with a good basis that just were no fun to play.

I agree, I do like the art style quite a lot and it's not completely sci-fi Atmospheres and water, for example, in the game are all different colors but they give you why they are that color by telling you their chemical mixture which I personally really find appealing. And they say that there is a lore to the center of the galaxy and a malevolent force so there is things and objectives to do but you don't have to do them. It's really quite interesting. From what I've seen in the trailers, I think the animals could use some movement animation tweaks and rendering should be done a bit more quickly but not as detailed if you're close to a planets surface and you're flying. That's really all I can criticize on it but then again they didn't show us much so there's not a lot to criticize on.

Many of us were waiting for Wayfarer...

Unfortunately, one of their devs left and the project folded after a long period of inactivity and delayed kickstarters and alpha builds. The later devlogs and interaction between the lads always looked a little awkward. Shame it turned out this way, because the concept was great.
