What if kerbin went at the speed of light

Here is my video on changing around the speed of kerbin

and some strange stuff happens

But what do you think would happen in real life if earth got sped

up to the speed of light

also what if it's rotation was sped up to the speed of light

(The speed of light 299 792 458 m / s)

Interesting experiment, suggests generating surface features on Kerbin might be using absolute universe coordinates in certain stage which is not very good idea and might be the cause of some weird surface behavior we see in the game using standard settings.

Using normal font size would make your post way better readable, too.

yes it would make it very strange on earth and I will change the font size

The speed of light, and general relativity led to some crazy discoveries. And it all came from one critical assumption: That the speed of light should always be the same (in a vacuum) if measured from any frame of reference - stationary or in motion.

All so if earth went at the speed of light it would have to have no mass

You ask a question "Let us make an assumption, that known natural laws are not valid. What would happen according to these laws, if something...". If other words, it is not reasonable at all. Theory of relativity predicts that no interaction can accelerate body with mass to a light speed. Therefore it can not predict what would happen, if it was not right.

KSP does not take relativistic effects into account. Light speed has no meaning in the game. But physics model have some assumption of velocities when it calculates the positions of planets and solves the equation of motion and if you give insane velocity to a planet or a spacecraft, results are insane, as you see.

At the speed of light, or approaching the speed of light mass becomes infinite. One of the reasons for light travel to be difficult as the mass your accelerating increases.

Earth would obviously escape the sun, and everything else for that matter.

Time would stop, but only for us, we wouldn't notice but the universe would (not sure the consequences of that)

Speed of light is the same for everyone, everywhere. standard analogy is that if a car light travelling at the speed of light turns its lights on how fast is the light from the headlight travelling. (Answer, the speed of light not the speed of light x2) As you said, the speed of sound is relative to the medium it is travelling through, not how fast the emitter is travelling. This is the same for light travelling through space.

I have assumed here that you mean orbital speed as the speed of light, if rotation became the speed of light the earth would shed all of its mass (at least it will make space launches cheap)

You have assumed in your experiment that the speed of light is the same in the kerbal universe. There is no reason for this to be the case, it could be slower or faster.

Excellent video though!

nope dyslexia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyslexia wiki to help you also our those video editor

Dyslexia is all about being unable to read properly because one's brain can't organize letters normally. Dysgraphia is concerned with writing skills, and can extend, often to a lesser magnitute, to typing.

If you can't write/type properly without mixing letters, you've got dysgraphia.

Ok dint know that but I know I'm diagnosed with dyslexia for sure but thanks for teaching me something
