  1. 1. Do you think current 0.24.2 are lonely?

    • Yes. It should have some other things to do beside design and launch rocket.
    • No. Its doing fine and I'm happy with design and launch rocket.

1) There are not much object to interact to. Except you launch 'A' craft, and launch 'B' craft to meet 'A' craft.

2) There are nothing much to do, EVA-ing.

3) Capture asteroid? Well, I mostly think it is rendezvous with a rock, and bring it somewhere else.

4) Land and plant a flag. And what next? Admire the scenery? I think most of us will hop back to craft and when back Kerbin, land and recover.

Lets see.

1) Multiplayer create a lot of possibilities.

2) Science report really means something, if the science are more in-dept, more richer in every expect.

3) Anomalies (Easter Egg), are most fun to have, if intractable.

4) Resources management, lot of games having some degree of resource gathering and to do something on it. Gold or fame.

5) Mission.

6) Story.

Th stock contracts/funds/rep system is very much a bare-bones framework, but this is unsurprising; it was always going to be this way to start. It'll get better.

As for how it'll get better, have a play with Fine Print for something with a bit more meat on the bones. Tons o'fun, and getting better as it goes.

Awwww. I was hoping we will be talking about what we feel while standing on the surface of the Mun. On the side facing away from Kerbin. When we look up, and see only empty vastness of space. When we realize how small and fragile we are. How terribly far away we are from another living being, breathable air and all the coddling, lush environment we grew up in. How precious and irreplaceable our pale blue dot of a home is to us. And about this second realisation... We can go anywhere. Do anything. Find everything we ever dreamed about - and so much more we can't even imagine. We are grown-ups. We are on our own. We are free. :D

Your forgot to mention Contracts. That adds a lot to the game.

I think Science could be more interactive/in-depth, as you also suggest.

When Squad dropped Resources, they did mention they have some ideas planned for more End-Game activities. Not sure what they have in mind - but i'm looking forward to it.

hi all

i think personnaly that their lot of miss in KSP ! I mean, despite i love it like that, it would be better if there's lots of thing to visit, like liquid methane falls, or dust/sand storm in particular canyons... lots of scientific curiosity, something like "the seven marvellous things in Kerbol system" or thing like that

That will add lots of tourism motivation, like anomaly does

Just like Scotius and the two people above me, I do feel loneliness in space. But now, let me adress the original questions.

1) There are not much object to interact to. Except you launch 'A' craft, and launch 'B' craft to meet 'A' craft.

Besides Kerbin, there are 16 other celestial bodies to visit. All are different, some subtly, some radically different.

I sort of agree with you here, as besides the rocket flying part of the game, there's a lot of room for improvement. On the other hand, KSP is a rocket flying game, so a question back at you: What did you expect?

5) Mission.

6) Story.

1) How? Note that I am not a fan of multiplayer, so I may be biased as to what MP would add.

2) I like the current science system, understand some of the criticisms about it, but can you explain what you mean with your criticism here?

3) Anomalies are nice to have but far from necessary for the game.

4) "What not to suggest" meaning that it's been suggested and discussed enough times.

5) Contracts. They're in the game.

6) You make your own.

No I don't. There's lots of Kerbals to play with, why would I feel lonely? ;)

Seriously, I can't imagine this game as Multiplayer, and, for one, will never(*) try it even if Squad decides to implement it in some future iteration (although I seriously hope they don't spend too much time on this before the rest of the game is mostly complete).

Apart from that yes there is heaps which can be done to make the core game even more interesting, but there's lots of mods which already do a lot of that anyway. The biggest criticism which seems to get raised repeatedly is that there doesn't seem to be a purpose for unlocking the tech tree. Basically there's a final goal missing. On the other hand you could argue it's all about the open-ness; the fact that you're left to set your own goals such as establishing a base on every body.

Perhaps science should be changed from being the currency used to unlock tech-tree nodes to being the "score"; the more science, the higher your score. That would give science an end-game purpose, and IMHO science and exploration are the primary aims of the game (blowing up Kerbals notwithstanding).

(*)Never say never ;)

EDIT: PS: why can't I vote on this?

I am fine with feeling lonely. In fact thats an important part of the game's atmosphere to me. Space is huge and you are rly small no matter how big a mission is and thats something special. Actually I would like that aspect to be even more fleshed out up to the point when you just think "damn... It's a long way from home".

But I do agree it gets boring from time to time and more important is the fact that it can be a little disapointing to set food on a new planet/moon and realize that it's not rly interesting, unique and tbh worth the trip... I am not sure if science is the right tool to fix that entitely. Easter eggs/anomalies and things like the eve mod helped me to enhance the atmosphere a lot. I had a great time cruising around on the mun in a big manned rover looking for the N.A. memorial. That was one of the few moments when the game rly showed deep atmosphere. I would like to have more reasons to actually drive or maybe walk to a location. It would forcee me to actually spent some time on the surface and realise that I am in completely different world. Otherwise I am just busy with landing, klicking through the science menues and getting back.

And on a side note, I don't rly like the idea of scores. KSP is not abou competition, at least to me. That's why I am a fan of the "no achievments" course.
