Stuck in R&D and Mission Control. Cannot enter VAB

Recommended Posts

KSP Version: v0.24.2 Windows 64bit

What Happens: I get stuck in the Research and Development Screen, meaning I cannot exit to the KSC. When I hit the exit-button the menu bar on the bottom appears and I can load a save (but not save the game or leave the game) but the Research and Development Screen stays. The same thing happens in the Mission Control screen. Also when I am at the KSC I cannot enter the VAB, nothing happens when I click on it. I can enter it through the Launchpad though.

Mods / Add-Ons: A lot but the problem first appeared after installing TAC, US_Core, US_KAS, US_TAC, and Dmagic Orbital Science. These are all in the recent versions.

Here are two pictures of my Gamedata-folder.

Steps to Replicate:

I start the game, load my save, go to the R&D building, research something, hit the exit button and said problem appears.

I saw some similar problems here in the forum, but it was not exactly the same. Can please anybody help. ;.;

Edit: De-installing DMagic Orbital Science solved the Problem. After Installing the new Version of the mod, no error occured ... yet

Im having the same problem. I dont have anywhere as many mods installed as above but a few common ones exist. I tried removing the common ones, and then all of the mods but still had the same problem. if I create a new game it seems to work fine though.

The last thing I did before it stopped responding was to research Advanced Aerodynamics if I remember correctly.

Anyone?

In the log you posted, a potential culprit is related to a contract DMagic Orbital Science is trying to save. But Windows 64 bit isn't very stable and this doesn't necessarily mean it's a bug with that mod. Lots of people have strange errors with the win64 version of ksp. If removing it solves the problem, you might want to let DMagic know just in case

That could really be the reason.... I completed a little station with orbital Science stuff for a contract. Now that theres an update of said mod I could try it again with first deleting it, checking if it works now and then maybe installing the new OrbSience Mod

Thank you!

Wish me luck :D

I have the same problem, with the same solution (making a new game) but I would hate to start over after all my work. I am running all these mods on the 32 bit version, not the 64 bit, but am having the exact same problems as described above. I don't know what to do :sealed:

I have this boatload of mods.

000_toolbar (not technically compatible with .90)

Active Texture Management (so that I can manage to run all of these on a 32 bit system)

B9 Aerospace

Kerbal EVA Resourse Transfer

Community Resource Pack

Cross Feed Enabler (not technically compatible with .90)

FAR

KAS

KW Rocketry

Infernal Robotics

MechJeb 2

Mission Controller EC

Near Future Electrical

Near Future Propulsion

Near Future Solar

Open Resource System

Procedural Fairings

RealChute

SmokeScreen

Stage Recovery

Tech Manager

KAC

Interstellar

Module Manager (included with the other mods)

I hope somebody can help me out.
