Looking at modern textbooks, it is all too clear to me the mistake I've made in claiming Hypeflight is impossible. BUT! The problem that persists is that if Hype drops, you fall from the sky, and you can't hold nearly as many people in the plane as you can the train!A plane big enough to comfortably seat 7 billion people would be larger than many islands.
