Command beetle mk3: long term mobile base/rover with launch system

Hello there, been a while since i uploaded a craft for you guys to have some fun with and boy do i have something that i am proud of to throw at you today.

Command beetle mk3

This mobile base carries 7 kerbals with all the equipment (Room for more modded parts) you could ever need on a mun/planet to gather science, Built with its own VTOL system for de orbit and capable of 15m/s (upwards of 25m/s is possible on flat ground) under the power of its motors on the muns surface, Who needs a rover when your base can be your rover?

Built with durable wheels and emergency landing gear for landing/take off or when the terrain just gets a bit too rough.

Carries a science lab, 2 materials bays 4 mystery goo and more (Room for more science equipment if you have mods)

Action groups

1: Toggle VTOL engines.

2: Toggle ladders.

3: Toggle interior lights.

4: Toggle exterior lights.

-TRANSPORT STAGE-

5: Toggle Nuclear engines.

6: Toggle main sail.

Flight instructions:

Throttle up to 95% on launch, hit the SAS and away you go, after staging the lifting rockets at 12,000m wait until your speed starts to increase again then begin orbital turn.

At around 35km you will need to stage the middle rocket, after this continue to burn until 50km, at 50km bring your pitch down to 60 degree, continue to climb until 70km, at 70km bring your pitch horizontal and continue burining until orbit, at around 1700m/s you will need to stage the lifting rockets, at around 2400m/s you will be in orbit.

Once landed on the mun switch control to the mk1 cockpit (This is where you will probably have jeb) for rover controls.

There is more than enough fuel to get to the Mun or minmus in the carrier stage, feel free to test how far you can actually get the Command beetle (Maybe even to duna?)

In Kerbin orbit heading for Mun encounter

Orbiting Mun (More than enough resources left in the carrier stage to go to other destinations)

I was going to call it the mini command turtle, but it looks like a beetle, so Mun bug it was, idk but i get a feeling they would be different enough that i do not need to say they are

On a related note, The mun bug mk3 is now ready, Complete with a reliable launch system capable of getting you to at the very least minmus (I have not tested how far yet)

I would love to see if people can land a mun bug on Duna or any other destinations, Good luck and have fun, keen to hear feed back and see it on some missions.

Soo anyone other than me have one of these on the Mun yet?

Surprised there have been no comments since uploading the mk3 command beetle.

It is about a 40 minute trip from launch to the mun, i made it there first try to give you an idea on how easy it is to get there.

I was thinking of changing it to command beetle to keep in line with the inspiration for the craft (Command turtle if you remember that ungodly thing) , i just dont want to change the download links lol

yeahh ill do it now seen as someone has already used the name Mun bug, may as well im not busy.

Decided to jump the command beetle into the biggest crater on the mun, fun stuff.

Damned durable thing, that is still the first one i landed on the mun, have broken the wheels a few times that is it though.

Haha wow. That is amazing i didnt get any rep for this craft.

Gee must be some pretty awesome craft on the exchange atm if something like this is not worthy of getting you rep, i mean heck i got 30 rep for my super glider pack which was not even 1 10th of time and effort to make.

So the question remains, has anyone even tried it?

Hint: asking for rep is a good way to not get any. Also, maybe you just didn't make what the community wanted, or just posted it at a wrong time. Better luck next time, but this stuff isn't helping IMO.

Just pointing out that it is strange that a post with more views got no rep compared to one that had half the views.

Other than that i just want some feedback on the thing, people seem to be good at not telling me what it is i do right or wrong so im lost at what people want me to upload.

Heck KSP is boring if you are not making something to share with others.

I am sure you know what i mean by that, you share a heck load more of your craft than i do.
