Requires PF - Flying saucer

Hi everybody,

as futile and stupid as it seems a wonderful flying saucer made with procedural fairings.

Of course, being futile, it does not work with NEAR nor FAR. On its side I must say it flies really smooth.

If carefully piloted can go for a Mun round trip.

Go straight till 10Km, then pitch 40° slightly decreasing to 25° till u reach 20km. From 20 to 30km u need to build as much speed as to reach 2050m/s, adjust accordingly. When u reach 2050m/s pitch 45° and decrease the throttle to 66% (with 100% throttle the first flame out is @30800m). You should be able to reach a 60Km Ap just with jets, finalize the orbit using the 48-7Ss and you are done.

1) toggle jets

2) toggle 48-7S

3) toggle intakes

5) chutes

8) toggle antennas

9) toggle legs

0) toggle ladder

The file is VAB made and completely stock apart from the fairing, but no fairing no saucer. You can see MJ in the pictures but the file is MJ free.

I admit my sin of clipping some intakes.

I kid you not, I was experimenting with procedural fairings to make this sort of thing happen about four months ago... and I gave up miserably. I wanted my hull to be as round as possible, which made attaching things to the outside a real pain in the mule, so to speak.

Well, I upgraded my procedural fairing saucer with infiniglide engines and a kraken drive, now you can hover and fly around indefinitely. It's pretty slow, so still needs a rocket to go to space.

Engage SAS, then press 1 to start hovering.

After gaining some altitude, point at horizon and mash WASD keys to accelerate.

Point at sky and disengage SAS to slow down.
