Eeloo has a bleak starkness I like, what with it's variance in texture and the sun being small businesses in the sky. It really communicates that you're in deep space.

Love being on Ike too and having Duna in the sky. Love being on Duna and having Ike rise and set.

Hate Gilly with a passion.

Duna. It provides the player with diverse terrain to land on and explore, as well as having an atmosphere thick enough to glide through and yet thin enough to easily take off for a return trip home.

I hope this thread leads to some balancing of the already existing bodies, as well as the ones that will (better) be added in the last few remaining updates of KSP.

You can use jet engine in atmosphere that has oxygen, also, i would have voted ike (i love ike) if it was available

Oh ok thank you I was a bit lost with what it did thank you :) ( sorry I can only have 10 different options any idea how I could get more on it?)

I've been thinking does a planet having oxygen make any diffrence? Because they always have there helmets on that has oxygen so what is the difference is it just the atmosphere is different?

I think the texture replacer fixes this with an option that removes helmets in "Safe" situations.

Hard to call, but probably Laythe due to the spectacular views and sheer convenience of being a distant body with an atmosphere. Duna and Eve are close though, plus of course Kerbin itself is nice. I guess I do tend to favor the bodies with atmospheres. :) I also enjoy the low - but not too low - gravity environments of Minmus and Pol. (Sorry Gilly, you're just a pain to land on without stock harpoons. :P )

Originally Dres was my least favourite, but after landing in one of its canyons yesterday I've changed my mind - it's far more interesting than I originally thought, providing you land in the right spot of course. I guess Tylo is probably the least interesting body to me right now... it's a cool challenge to land on and all, but it's so large and difficult to get around with very few (if any?) interesting features to visit. And unlike Eve, it doesn't have pretty colors to keep you entertained. ;)

Duna, because:

1) It's easy to get to.

2) It's also easy to get back from.

3) It looks nice.

4) With FAR and RealChutes it's actually quite challenging to land on. The atmosphere is so thin that you're going to need retrorockets or a ton of drogue chutes just to slow down for main chute deployment. Either that, or pick a very, VERY shallow descent trajectory and hope you don't hit a mountain.

For me it's Dres. Thanks to it's color and orbit it is practically impossible to see from anywhere and due to it's low SOI it is also not quite easy to get to.

This is the place where all the.... experiments on.... volunteers are done. *insert evil grin here*

No really, it is a great place for an outpost and secret base that's secret. You can fill your fuel up and travel on to Eeloo, for example.

Mine is Jool. Its system (particularly Laythe surface and LJO) have become the first real kerbal colony, with about five space stations (I don't bother deorbiting the obsolete ones, Kessler syndrome is not a concern :D ) and a large laythe surface colony with about 20 inhabitants. Besides, it was the first planet I've successfully transferred to, even though it was an accidental capture of a stranded vessel bound for outer space.

I like sending stuff to Dres every now and then, just so it knows I haven't forgotten it. My favorite place is probably the Joolean system, because there's just so much to do there. The only downside is a long travel time, and aerobraking from a Kerbin transfer is a great way to get vaporized in the atmosphere.
