The Mk. 2 Redux Pack -- The Old Style of Mk. 2 Fuselage and More!

Final Major Update!

Did you not know about the Mk. 2 changes? Well, this fix is for you!

A whole bunch of pre-0.25 parts, complete with a guide on how to patch existing craft files and saves! It's a two-in-one!

Individual downloads, for those who only need a little bit

Conversion only pack, so that you can't build with them but still see them

Mk. 2 Fuselage

Mk. 2 Adapters (both to Mk. 3 and to 1.25m)

Both control surfaces

Delta Wing

Structural Wing and Wing Connector

Mk. 1 Cockpit

Mk. 1 Fuselages

Inline Reaction Wheel

All of the models and textures are straight from version 0.24.2, this is just a patch. Don't worry, it won't replace the brand new Mk. 2 system!

All of the instructions are in the .txt file in the zip

And as always, have fun!

Download on KerbalStuff or Curseforge or Mediafire

Changelog:

v. 3.2: Added Inline Reaction Wheel, version 0.24.2 is now fully implemented.

v. 3.1: Added Mk. 1 Parts

v. 3.01.1: Fixed misspelling in the wingConnector instructions

v. 3.01: Fixed the attach nodes on the spaceplane to 1.25m adapter (Thanks again, clown_baby!)

v. 3.0: Added Delta wing, structural wing, wing connector, and Mk. 1 Cockpit support (Thanks, clown_baby!)

v. 2.01: Hotfix, correctly spelled a part of the instructions (mk. 2 fuselage works again)

v. 2.0: Added support for control surfaces, reconfigured folder structure

v. 1.0: Initial Release

This work was originally made by Chad Jenkins (C7) of Squad, I did not make any of the parts, I only made the patch.

Licence: Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-SA 88x31.png

In Layman's terms, you can mess with this all you want, so long as you credit the original author, don't sell it for money, and release under this licence.

Per the Addon Posting Rules all posted addons require a license and attribution. Further, since this is the work of Squad, you will be somewhat constrained in what license you may choose (I suggest something simple like "license is as the original assets were, i.e. available for derivative use by KSP modders").

What about changing the category settings to category = -1?

Maybe as alternative download?

That sort of goes against the point of the mod, which is to:

a. Fix old craft so that they look and work like in .24.2 and before

b. Add the capability to make more craft with the old parts

But I like the idea, I think I'll release that in the next update.

Props for making this, I'm definitely not a fan of the removal of the old control surfaces, the new ones look really ugly with the old parts!

Is it possible to fix how the small control surface rotates around its middle instead of the attachment point?

That involves editing the parts model. Not as easy as tweaking the config like I did for the nodes

... I don't understand, hidden parts do get applied to existing crafts.

b. Add the capability to make more craft with the old parts

But I like the idea, I think I'll release that in the next update.

That's why I said it could be an alternative download.

It's just an idea, because that's what I did with the parts.

By the way, you forgot to update the Kerbalstuff download.

Needs a fix:

"c" and "wingConnectorREDUX";

Not quite...

dude you are a pimp. I had no idea .craft files were text files, and so easy to modify. I've always wanted to be able to do this but I figured it was complicated. I thought I was going to have to rebuild everything, but here's one of my ships in .25
