Probably, it's not my first focus, but I already thought about doing that later.

Here's some reference related to that for future use if you decide to take this on. Unfortunately Kerbin won't have a dark shadow but you could probably see a large darker area. Not really sure how visible antumbras are from space

Has anyone had issues with this mod in 1.0.2?

I'm not sure if it was PlanetShine, but after updating to 1.0.2 my game kept crashing when I would fly over or land at the desert on Kerbin and I haven't had any crashes since uninstalling it. I do have several other mods installed, so I definitely can't blame this one alone!

Has anyone had issues with this mod in 1.0.2?

I never used PlanetShine before 1.0, but after installing it I had some issues with stretched UVs on terrain textures, and removing the mod fixed it. Reinstalling would reintroduce the stretching, and uninstalling it would once again remove the issues. I'm gonna use the mod anyway, since the issues only happened every now and then, and the trade-off is worth it to me.

Issue clarification: Every once in a while, terrain textures would become severely stretched. It mostly happened in Space Center view, but it could also happen during flights. Changing screens (leaving flight to go to the Space Center, or entering a building) would often fix the problem.

Issue disclaimer: I can't say for sure that the issue was caused by Planet Shine, nor can I say for sure that it was exclusive to the latest build. All I know is that it only happens when I have Planet Shine installed, do with that what you will.

I'm having an issue with Planetshine, where the settings will not stay saved from game session to game session. I have to constantly go retweak the Planetshine settings using the toolbar icon every time I play. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I have that too. It's a minor inconveniance though, as it's rather easy to just edit the -cfg file.

On a side note, I want to be clear that I'm very happy with the mod. It quickly became one of my "must haves". Don't let the fact that my first two posts are both regarding (possible) issues with this mod fool you, I've been lurking the forums for a very long time before I decided to register. I tip my hat to the creator of the mod, it's a very nice addition to the game. :)

Can you post screenshots? It shouldn't be related because PlanetShine only create or adds lights, and does nothing with textures.

I will try to see if I have the same issue, but that should work fine, maybe you did not put planetshine in the right folder? The settings should be located in "Kerbal Space Program\GameData\PlanetShine\Config\Settings.cfg".

This is most probably not caused by PlanetShine

It happens in stock 0.90 and 1.0 too.

Yeah, I think you guys are right. I just reinstalled KSP and tried it before I reinstalled any mods, and I actually got that texture thing once. I'm glad I left a disclaimer, sorry for the confusion.

It's weird though, I have 800 hours in KSP, but for some reason I never noticed this glitch untill recently, and since it (by pure chance) became less frequent whenever I removed PlanetShine I figured (incorrectly) that it was related. Anyway, thanks again for the wonderful mod, the game now feels lackluster without it. :)

Yes, I can confirm it is in the correct folder. I've completely deleted the folder and reinstalled the mod, to no avail. However, if I just go and edit the config file manually, it works and stays.

I also discovered that it isn't play session dependent, but view dependent. If, for instance, I set the PlanetShine settings using the GUI button, and then go to map view, and then back to ship view, the settings will revert to PlanetShine defaults. It is very strange.

Ok, I can confirm that I also have the same issue, I will try to fix it soon

I was just curious if there has been any progress on developing planetshine between planets/moons (e.g. moonlight reflected from the Mun to Kerbin) as mentioned in the planned features? No rush or anything. Currently, for me, it's the thing that the game lacks visually that stands out the most.

Thanks for this brilliant mod! It's been on my list of mandatory mods for several months now.

why does it keep reseting my settings? Isn't there a way I can choose performance and intensity settings and then SAVE them????

What happens if you manually edit your settings into the two configs in the PlanetShine\Config\ directory?

It actually works, I just tried, this issue currently is that it's not saving anything

Yes and this would be a fine work-a-round if I just used one fixed group of settings. But as I go to different ships in different locations I am always making minor adjustments to several of the settings. To have to readjust every time I switch ships is pretty inconvenient. I am hoping there is a patch planned to automatically save any setting changes.

I just download this, with default does this hit FPS much? I have a older PC. Also is there a way to toggle it on and off while in game, if so what is the button called?

With default settings PlanetShine is almost not affecting performance, this will not much change your FPS.

There is a settings menu, but you need to install the mod called Toolbar to access it currently.

Awesome thanks! I use Blizzy tool bar.

Yeah this mod does little to effect FPS, but adds a lot to visuals of the game, amazing! It's the little things that matter the most sometimes.

I get this filling up my debug window when I open the Planetshine Menu: [Exception]: MissingMethodException: Method not found: 'ConfigNode.SetValue'.

Also, the settings don't seem to save. Seems to work fine otherwise.

Edit: Also happens with fresh install with only Blizzy's toolbar installed along side planetshine.
