Hello, the problem you have is caused by the decoupler being clipped on the engine.

So it is right in front of the engine after decoupling.

Then, the exaust goes on the decoupler and generates a force on it, which actually doesnt accelerate the craft.

Try removing the part under the decoupler, moving it so the top node connects with the engine on the top.

Then the bottom node must connect to the fuel tank.

so ive tried resetting the decoupler a few different ways, but it will not fully decouple. its stuck on that engine and i don't know why cause ive not had this problem before.

But you need to edit the craft and replace it.

It's wrongly placed, that is the only issue.

no, i figured it out i think. just deleted the old one and added a new one. i must have had it oriented wrong. thanks
