Add some hidden, empty science nodes

The science and tech tree feature is pretty much the oldest component of career mode, and it shows its age a bit. That's okay though, we know that feature polishing comes after feature completion.

In the meantime though, you could throw us players a bone in the form of a stopgap measure that takes nearly no time and effort on the developer side. An unpaid intern could throw this together in an hour, and that's including time spent learning how to do it from scratch! :)

Remember those largely unused "experimental" nodes at the end of the tech tree, empty and hidden from view until a modder goes and puts something into it? Give us more of those. A couple dozen more. They don't have to be named intelligently. They don't have to be connected to anything. They don't need to have new icons. They don't have to be positioned in any specific location or pattern or order. Can be as copypasta as you want. They just need to exist.

if they exist, then we can use Alternative Tree Configurator to make use of them in custom tech trees. We cannot add these nodes ourselves with this mod though, and there is no other functional tech tree editor for .25+ available. But with just this tiny addition from Squad's side, which can be dropped in any tiny bugfix patch, a lot of modders and players alike will see the possibilities available to them greatly enhanced.

Yes, this is very much needed and it's hardly difficult on Squad's part. I see no reason they would want to withhold such an affect from modders especially considering the amount of support they give modders already. It would take 30 minutes of an unpaid intern's time to slap together and would benefit the community greatly

It's like the two minute rule (if you see something you need to do that takes less than 2 minutes, do it now)

Just spend literally a single working day to fix these tiny things.

It's like the two whiner rule- if you spend literally a single working day to fix this tiny thing, at least two people will whine about how it's unnecessary and you should be focusing on getting it released RIGHT NOW.

Agreed that the ability for mods to expand beyond the current stock tech tree should be enabled. I'd favour adding the ability for mods to add their own nodes as opposed to adding X new hidden nodes (to avoid potential conflict between mods that both want to do something different with a specific new node), but this may be harder for Squad to incorporate.
