KSC is an awesome place to tour around. But, what if you could work there?

If you could choose where you would like to be employed at the KSC as an intern doing mundane work.

Which team?

Which facility?

What mundane task will be preformed?

Why you want to work there?

Alternative choice?

For me its the

Tracking Centre Complex

Working at the East dish.

Locating and removing only the 1/4W 22k resistors from burnt trash PCB's.

So I have time to see it coming.

Wind Tunnel.

shooting down other rockets launching with my planes using andrew's missiles....flying to minmus and taking a scoop for my ice cream....hanging out with jeb

If the space program is being run by someone like myself, then I want to go to space. Surely there's an intern position on some mission or other, perhaps at the LKO station where I can prove myself worthy of a bigger mission. I know I can depend on the forces that be to turn back time if anything goes wrong.

Me too. You know they are ghosts of Kerbals past don't you. That walk through engines and can't die again. You could watch launches from the pad with no fear.

Depends on who runs the space program. If it's mine, definitely would work in the VAB as a part of the ground crew that stands around waving those batons pointlessly. If it's Scott Manley's, I'd be off working in the Astronaut Complex as the guy who keeps the computers running (and makes sure that Shepman'); DROP TABLE Recruits;-- Kerman doesn't get added to the roster... again). If it's Danny2462's space program, off-site evacuation drill sergeant... at a completely different space center.

The team here has had time to review your application.

While shooting down other rockets and going to Minmus is exciting. It is best left for the trained pilots.

We here at Kerbal Science Center takes the spunk out of a new intern. Then we grind and mould them into a shiny new pilot.

Unfortunately the KSC Fleet Vehicles Team are much to busy repairing vehicles then to look after an intern.

The Fuel Enrichment team, however, always needs interns with lotsa spunk. So, if you decide to undergo an internship here at the KSC, we would like to welcome you to join the Fuel Enrichment Team. Please report to the SPH Round Fuel Tank and the Fuel Enrichment Steeping process will be further explained.

p.s.

You don't have a fear of being dangled from a rope do you?

You're not driving that truck in the space plane hangar that's doing "Tokyo Drift" below your spaceplane? Seriously watch for that one truck that power slides across the SPH.

As for me:

Team: Operations

Location: Vehicle assembly building

Mundane task: Programming the stage separations in the computer

Why: Cause the other guy keeps putting the launch clamp in the wrong stage.

Alternative choice: R&D making the logical connection between how the temperature on the mun relates to being able to build a new rocket part (it doesn't make a lot of sense until you stare at it for hours).

As far from the fuel tanks as kermanly possible.

Which mundane task will be performed?

Programming the computers to not crash... because that's the pilots job.

The KSC Computer Lab had a great need for prospective intrerns last year. They were tasked to switch the semicolons with colons. Since we program only on the finest fibrous documents, that meant alot of rubbing out and keeping the inscriptors sharp.

This year Mortimer has a strategy to save Funds and needs interns. Congratulations on being selected for the Document Fastener Recycling Program. These metallalic fasteners are from the shredded remains of used RT-10 casings and therefore extremely expensive.

If you decide to take this position please report to the Administration Building where you will begin your task of removing, straighting, and reshaping.

making commander Jeb's chair go up down and spin around.

to watch epic missions from orbit.

Alternative choice?

pushing space trains to the limit, or any staff on Jebsy Danger
