GameData folder structure

Hi guys, I wanted to ask is it possible to reorganize the folder structure in the GameData folder? I mean can I create master folders to group my plugins and mods? (In order to be able to switch them around as needed.)

Thanks!

Some, yes. Other, not really. Some mods are dependent on their file path. It becomes complicated when a mod [a] doesn't need it but another mod needs to interface with it [a] (dependencies).

You are best to 'install' mods as prescribed and to not rename anything.

No, not if you want things to actually work.

Thanks for your answers. It's a bit sad. Now I have to find a way to organize the mods. (You may guessed that the main problem is memory usage. My KSP is shutting down itself right after loading in.)

Try this:

Active Texture Management

Less Memory by Using OpenGL

The size of a texture on disk does not necessarily equate to its size loaded in memory. That said my GameData folder is 2.7 GB and, by running with ATM Basic in OpenGL mode, KSP takes about 2.2 GB of RAM at launch.
