That thing you made is awesome! But, it's a mod. I want to build car without mods (only IR). It's not so interesting to use ICE mod to make ICE.

I see your point. But to build a car using stock parts could mean it will grow to the size of the VAB itself, and very heavy. I'm downsizing and that's a challenge by itself, with all the connections becoming more flexible the less mass the parts have. And welding doesn't work with Procedural Parts.

I'll keep an eye on your work, it's fascinating.

I really didn't. Not yet! My ICE, unfortunately, appeared to be not powerful enough. And there are some issues with the gearbox. They work just fine separately, but not together. So it's gonna take some time to make everything work. But it's 100% possible and only a question of time.

What are you using for bearings? I saw someone make very compact bearings for plane propellers, all stock.

Very compact AND reliable, all stock? Now that's something I'd like to see. The only reliable compact bearings I've seen are the IR station parts, which I modified into free runners. And yeah, I build crankshafts, props, turbines & helicopters with those.

At first I didn't use anything (only a hole made by plates). But now I use bearings (simple rings). I've made them myself.

About quantity of parts... I have no idea. I've started this project about 4 month ago, so I don't remember. And most of the parts are welded, so it's practically impossible to find out how many parts are there. But, it's around 3K.

I can't remember now. Somebody made some great WW2 bombers and the bearings were used for his props.
