Ways to get crew onto a command chair.

Recommended Posts

The craft is very bendy and any stability enhancer things just make it blow up when it launches I have tried using a habit module on the side but I had to make a platform so Bill and Bob could get to their seats (three chairs) and that just blew up. I need it to be cheap it is already 202,000 £. I do not want to post pictures because I will release the craft as a replica and I want it to be a surprise on looks. And don't ask where it is going.

Okay, sorry if I missed it, but what exactly is the question?

What I gather is that you have a very heavy ship with only external command chairs, and stuff keeps exploding on it.

Without seeing what you're working on, I'm not sure how we can help you.

Below is an image of the setup I used when I wanted to get a Kerbal into a command chair (the vehicle is for Scott Manley's minimum time to space and back challenge). The blue arrow shows the path the Kerbinaut travels on the ladders to get to the chair. Once he is in it, I trigger the marked decoupler to drop the Mk1 Lander Can onto the launchpad, where it is left behind.

Thanks I have it now... Now about the problem of the kerbals falling off the platform half the time (immortal Jeb survived)

I don't know if your craft looks anything like UltraOne's, but the engine doesn't like craft that are made of mostly physicsless parts, i.e. cubic octagonal struts. Might be part of the problem.

Look, people ask silly questions like this all the time... There is a very simple solution, that people always seem to forget.

MASS DRIVER.

If something didnt work the first time, trying it again at high velocity will ALWAYS make it work. 100%. Guaranteed. Every time. No repercussions.

:P
