Generally how long does it take for a post to appear on the forums?

As the title says im new to the forums and havent posted be for and just trying to see how long it takes for them to show up

Seriously, it varies depending on how busy the moderators are. We check the forum moderation queue when we can.

After a few posts, you'll be out of the queue, so your stuff will start appearing immediately.

In case you were wondering, you should be thankful for it. The queue is there to prevent SOME PEOPLE *coughcoughcough* from making fake duplicate accounts.

Well, by far the biggest thing that seems to be stopped is spambots. If that queue weren't there, well, there's quite a lot of adverts for fake medicines and dubious websites that we routinely smack with the spam-o-matic hammer. I wouldn't like to see the state of the forums if that feature weren't there.

That would be horrible, but *slightly* entertaining.

But yeah, people who make spambots and duplicate accounts are the worst of the worst.
