Hi there! Names Sakai!

I really love KSP as I love Space and Space Exploration. I love playing KSP in realistic way with mods that create the environment that makes it into pure realism but I always end up failing to even get into proper orbit ^^;

If you know any awesome mods that bring realism or tutorials how to be good in KSP please let me know! Anyways Hello!

Hi Sakai, and welcome.

My recommendations of mods for realism and additional challenge:

Ferram Aerospace Research - provides much more realistic aerodynamics. The stock aerodynamics are kind of weak

Deadly Re-entry - things without shields can burn up in the atmosphere, which does not happen with stock

Remotetech - requires you to create line of sight comms networks in order to control unmanned probes. With stock, you can just control them regardless of where they are

TAC Life support; stock has no requirements on you providing food/water/oxygen to your kerbals. This mod adds that challenge.

Two more mods which you really should get:

Kerbal Alarm Clock; set reminders for events. eg create a maneuver node well in advance, then go and do stuff with other ships. KAC will pop up when it's time to go and complete that node. It even stops time warp and gives you a button to jump straight to the relevant ship. Most of us could not play KSP without it.

Chatterer: I always thought this was a somewhat pointless mod, until I finally installed it. It adds radio chatter and some other noises, which really adds to the feel of the game

For tutorials, there is a section of this forum full of great advice. Also, search on youtube, where there are lots of great tutorial videos.

If these don't answer your questions, start a thread in the gameplay questions forum, and members of this community will be quick to help.

My recommendations of mods for realism and additional challenge:

These are all really good, actually. In addition, I'd like to suggest Infernal Robotics and KW Rocketry. They don't add realism per se, but they do add tools which will help you overcome the extra problems that FAR will introduce (e.g. with hinges you can make your un-aerodynamic probes and rovers fold up a bit so's they can be tucked behind fairings, which are then more launch-able).

And it'll be controversial, but Mech Jeb will help with planning trips to other bodies. You don't have to let it fly if you prefer to take the helm (I mix and match; I tend to let it get me to orbit, but I'll land stuff manually) but it's got some nice built in tools that will help get your orbital transfers sorted out. If nothing else, it can calculate where your target will be at the time you get there, which I for one find a real pain in stock!

...Chatterer: I always thought this was a somewhat pointless mod...

It is! It's own proud boast is "Totally useless, totally fun". As you also say, it adds so much to the feel of the game that it's pretty essential to me (makes it to No.8 on my list).

While FAR and DRE are good realism mods I think RT just solves a problem it introduces itself, LS mods too mainly. For probes I think SCANSat adds depth more without forcing complexity and the resizable fairings of Procedural Fairings are much more useful than the fixed KW ones (although I think FAR and PF are not playing nicely together yet in KSP 0.25). MJ and NRAP are important to me but wouldn't be to most people, especially when they're starting. Conversely a docking-alignment mod - the one I list or Navyfish's original - NavUtils for runway landings and 'the IVA suite' add loads more really useful and important instruments, especially bringing flight from the cockpit (or probe control-room) to life. IVA's a bit like Chatterer to be honest; no-one needs it but it makes the game feel so much better. Finally in my list AGX and the Goodspeed pump are just conveniences that are probably more complicated than useful until you know you want them.

Best place to look for tutorials is The Drawing Board, My own tutorial will explain basic design but is designed for stock, not FAR/DRE and other realism mods.

Thanks everyone!

My only real problem is actually getting proper orbit. I can build rockets that will take me to destination needed but its just that I utterly fail to create an orbit not to mention I love remote tech mod and without proper orbit and such getting comsats is like impossibru!

But thank you again everyone!
