I want to watch things deorbit sitting on the runway at the KSC

Like the title suggests, I want to be able to park a Kerbal on the runway and watch either a rocket or satellite come crashing into the Kerbal Space Center.

What I have already tried:

-Romfarer's Laser Systems mod (cant seem to adjust physics render distance at all with .25)

-TTNeverUnload (Kinda works, but still unloads at about ~25km from the surface)

-DistantObjects (With the hope I could see them coming, but nope)

-MechJeb to have the orbiting craft auto-land on the Kerbal sitting on the runway.

So it seems the issue is that vessels want to unload once they reach about ~25km above the Kerban surface. I can sit on the runway and even see their target indicator 100km in the sky, but as soon as they hit ~25km they poof into nothingness.

Anyone know any way to make it work so that they can come all the way down and crash into Kerban? I really want to get this to work for a video I'm doing.

Perhaps a clever modder can put together a quick mod to disable the 25km unload?

There's a fixed hard point where unactive craft always disappear. I would love for this to be disabled, but in my few years here I've yet to see it. Don't know why Squad can't disable it themselves. Or why it's even there to begin with... Maybe to prevent kraken attacks..

It's too bad there is that limit. It would be so much fun to set a bunch of rockets in orbit on a trajectory for the KSC and watch them all crash down. Could even make a missile satellite in orbit to play with. Or even a kinetic bombardment satellite using heavy equipment pieces. Or possibly even send an asteroid on a collision course for the KSC, and it's up to you to stop it (maybe in contract form?) and if you fail a Building(s) will get hit and destroyed.

Lots of fun possibilities there!
