Option to turn on and off ambient lights in VAB SPH.

I think many of us stumbled upon a challenge of placing lights on the craft beautifully. It's quite hard to achieve a right picture when sun is shining in your face. It would be so damn cool if we could make it night in assembly buildings at will, or much cooler if this option depended on the current time of the day.

I think the view outside of the VAB/SPH should reflect the time of day.

Could be a nice mod.

I swear I saw a mod a while back that allowed to toggle the VAB to dark. Was a few months ago, so I have no idea if anyone knows where to fish for it

I`d like it to show what was actually outside, then it`s a small step to having your rocket move in one smooth motion from the VAB to the pad...

A still image of outside taken the moment you enter the VAB would be really easy to do I`m guessing (move camera to the right point for one frame while showing a black frame to the user then screengrab) and then just replace the placeholder image with that.

Bingo, quick and dirty environment in your VAB. Control the hanger lights with a sliding dimmer maybe too.

There's a mod from July that would let you turn off the internal lights, but not ambient light. At least that way you could timewarp to nighttime and turn off the lights. Assuming it still works: DimmableVAB.

Also, it was either blackrack (Scatterer mod) or rbray (EVE) that I recall recently saying they wanted to make the view outside the VAB/SPH actually be the current outside view
