This Game is great but without a docking autopilot & such this game is too much work to enjoy.

I had a hard drive die and took my copy down with it. Un-related.

I wouldrather put upwith the crashes then play without Mech Jeb.

Thanks for anyone who can help.

Sal_vager already told you where to find a working KSP 0.24. If you want a copy of MechJeb that works with KSP 0.24 you should ask for MechJeb. NOT for KSP 0.24!

But why would you want to play KSP 0.24 in the first place? MechJeb and KSP 0.25 work great together. As long as you use KSP x86 of course as 64bit is pretty unstable.

I had 0.24 and tho unstable it allowed me to run Mech Jeb I will try 0.25 again the one i downloaded said mech jeb could not run with it

It may have been the 64 bit version

The possible reasons for incompatibility:

#1: KSP 0.25 and an old version of MechJeb.

#2: KSP 0.24 and the latest version of MechJeb.

#3: KSP 0.25, Windows 64-bit, and MechJeb.

#3 is caused by many modders not wanting to deal with support requests from such an unstable build: some of them can't even run Windows x64, and half the "bug reports" they get from x64 are caused by x64, not their mods. Use 32-bit, or install Linux and use the Linux x64, which is quite stable.

In general, have the latest versions of both Kerbal Space Program and the mod, and things will work well. The only difficult points are KSP updates, which tend to break old mods in terrible ways, and it takes a while for modders to get stuff updated, and to fix the stuff which broke when they updated, and fix the stuff that broke when they fixed the earlier problems, etc, etc.

Some plugin authors have begun actually disabling their mods on the x64 versions of KSP, simply because they are tired of having to deal with irate users as a result of the x64 version's instability. That may be what you've encountered, but I don't follow mods closely, so I'm not sure if that's what has happened.

AFAIK Sarbian and Ramon didn't disable MJ on x64.

2 Merlin: You should check MJ dev builds if you want a release that i working on 0.24.2 (You'll find link in MJ thread's OP). Simply choose the release that was posted before 0.25 release (7 October)

Ok Thank you all for your help the problem was the 64 bit version I downloaded did not let me use Mech Jeb.

However I just re download the new 0.25 version and it works fine with mech jeb. Thanks for all your help.

By the way it was #3

#3: KSP 0.25, Windows 64-bit, and MechJeb.

I thought the 64 bit would be the best with a quadcore, 16 gigmem the 0.24 used 3 of the four cpus and was happy except the 64bit crashes

and about 3gigs of the mem.

Well thanks for the help
