If it goes without saying, why say it? I know you're trying to help out, but... have some faith in me? :(

OMG I totally have faith in you Bob!! That is not what I meant at all!! I suppose i shouldn't have or needed to preface it all. I just wanted to say what I thought about the stock footage from NASA and the clip from "From the Earth to the Moon" would be a good idea. I apologize if you thought I was implying something different.

It's hard to believe I originally watched From the Earth to the Moon before my son was born, and now he can drive a car. I can probably use the footage because I do non-profit documentaries, as long as they get credit, but I am not sure I will. I had other ideas.

Its hard to believe that I was 10. My father rarely let me stay up and watch tv let alone on a Sunday night during school. I knew it was special when he let me stay up and watch it with him. I wish they would put that show on one of the streaming services or atleast back on hbo. I don't even think its on the HBOgo and that has almost everything HBO has ever produced.

I know, but it did reach space (orbit?) on a few launches, and was a building block for Titan II

I think we might be past the first flight of the Titan 1. I believe the first flight of the Titan 1 was in 1959? Although the last I am sure was sometime in the mid 1960's. Still any significant flight of the Titan 2 I think we will see will be the Gemini test flights. Besides the Gemini flights I don't think the Titan 2 was used for anything else in the 60's with the notable exception of being a major part of out ICBM arsenal. It wasn't until later we the air force used it as a launch vehicle.

Yea, I can't do every launch vehicle's first flight. If I did then I'd get mired in the many variations next. "Hey Bob you need to do the Titan 4 first launch because reasons, and the Minotaur II 'cause reasons, and Athena-2C for reasons..." and so on. I can basically do about 3-4 flights per video, and each video is going to be 1 year of real life. So I need to look at each year and say "what 3-4 flights are the most iconic or contain super meaningful 'firsts' in spaceflight history?"

So for example for 1959 (year of the first Titan flight, which was a suborbital testing mission "up and back down" with no meaningful payload) I need to choose between Luna 8K72, or a Titan. Vanguard, or Titan. The formation of the Mercury program, or Titan. Discoverer 2, or Titan.

Hopefully this gives you some good examples and ideas about how I choose my missions, and why. Thanks for replies!

Did the Titan I launch any satellite, because I built one in RO and it had about 8000 m/s of DV I think. Enough for a Nuke delivery system, but as a launch vehicle.

Titan 1 I don't know but the Titan rocket was a prolific launch vehicle.

No, Titan I was not orbital. It was mostly held in reserve to deliver nukes, and so most never flew either.

Actually let me revise that statement. Technically the missile could have reached an orbit with no payload, or even with a very small payload. A 3 ton nuke would have been suborbital. All of its actual flights were suborbital.
