273 h according to steam.

Some missions have been several hours when the fuel runs out and apoapsis is several million meters above Kerbin and periapsis in the upper athmosphere. :)

I've been playing sice the version before Sqad changed the apperance of KSC (0.18??).

365 hours according to Steam, and although I have a couple of non-Steam folders with older versions (and occasionally bypass Steam when offline), I really don't think there's more than, say, 5 hours not recorded there. Been playing since 0.23.

As to how to tell, as has been said before KSP does not natively record hours played to my knowledge, but if you launch through Steam or a Steam-provided shortcut, checking under KSP in your Steam library will tell you how many hours you've played by launching that way.

I've been playing KSP since before you guys buy it... and then I bought it the first day it went on sale.... and changed over to Steam when given the option. Sucks that during the Steam Migration it cleared/reset my forum profile. Oh well.

But... I easily have somewhere between 2,750 and 3,000 hours played. Though, Steam only shows 1365

Wingtip Mun Landings... those where the days.

I'm curious, is it possible to get KSP through steam if you already have bought the game elsewhere? I mean, is there some way to... I guess... transfer it over to steam without having to buy it through steam again?

Steam will track it, but I've put in loads of play not through Steam. On the other hand, I've also often had the game running but not been actually playing it.

So I would guess on the order of a thousand hours.

If you just want playtime tracking, steam overlay, etc, then add it in steam as a "non-Steam game". You'll still have to download updated versions from the KSP store though.

If you bought from the KSP store BEFORE it was avaiable on Steam, then yes, you can get a Steam key. Here's the quote from the FAQ (and here's a link to it):

"I bought the game on the KSP Store, but I want it on Steam. Will you give me a Steam Key?

Yes, we now offer the choice to transfer KSP purchases from before the game was available on Steam, note that this process is OPTIONAL and IRREVERSIBLE. If you transfer your purchase to Steam, you will no longer be able to download or update the game from the KSPStore, but also nobody's forcing you to go to Steam, if you opt not to transfer, you can still download and update the game as usual. To move to Steam, log in to your KSPStore profile and you will find the button to start the process next to your download link. Again please note that you will only be eligible for a transfer if you purchased the game before it was on Steam, no exceptions, please don't insist."

If you didn't get it through the KSP store back when, or bought it somewhere else, you're probably SOL.
