Looking for older guide/tutorial.

I've been away since 0.23.5 and am looking for a guide ti setting up satellite networks/constellations. I remember that someone had a link to such a guide/tutorial (using MechJeb) in his sig line at the time. Unfortunately, I cannot remember who it was, or seem to find any guides or tutorials for what I want t do. If anyone knows of the guides/tutorials I seek, please let me know.

While that's useful, it isn't exactly what I was looking for. I may be able to use the info from there, though. Was there some kind of a forum wipe/purge that happened sometime between 0.23.5 and 0.25 thatmay have remoed what I seek?

As long as the orbit you're putting your satellites into happens to be some form of synchronous, just input how many are in the constellation and it can calculate how long the orbit's period needs to be in either direction (ie. raising or lowering the period to synchronize it). Basically you just put the satellites in an orbit where either the periapsis or apoapsis is at the desired height and the overall period of the orbit is either the Synchronization Factor or Counter-Sync Factor value. Then bring one of them up to the correct synchronous orbit per orbit of the satellites still on the non-synchronous orbit.

I agree with NFUN. You'll have to be a bit more specific...

Otherwise, the best I can offer is the video I made to help users of my GPS mod to launch satellites into evenly spaced orbits in the same plane. I've never used MechJeb and the video was made way back in v0.18, but the technique is still valid. There's more information about how I set it up if you look in the second post down in my mod's thread (see the link in my signature).

in a search for the term "satellite constellation" for posts one year old and newer - it's a link to a Scott Manley youtube video on the topic. 0.20.2 would've been the version at the time of the video, so this may be older than what you're looking for, but I imagine the principles are still the same.

I found it! phoemix_ca has it in his sig! Looks like he hasn't been around for a bit though. I remember seeing the sig when I was going through the KSPi thread back in 0.23.5...
