What's left to do?

There are the Reddit challenges, those might give you a challenge. Especially if you try to do multiple at a time.

You can also try to play through Career again, with harder difficulty settings than before.

Have you managed to lift a full orange tank of fuel from Kerbin to orbit? What about from Eve? How about flying a full tank from outside Jool to sea level, and back to orbit? (There are tons of challenges regarding moving a full orange tank from point A to B without using fuel from it)

Have you messed around with things like Danny2462 does? Have you discovered a new glitch doing so? Have you tried a 100% Reusable Space Program like Scott did quite some time ago? Have you tried to combine a Reusable Space Program with an Eve landing? (DISCLAIMER: I'm not sure this is possible without mods)

Have you brought a D-class to solar escape velocity?

There are tons of things which one can do, and you might not have even scratched the surface.

Step #1: Establish yourself as a resident expert on some facet of KSP through achieving things that have never been done before and compiling a unified understanding of KSP physics and systems.

Step #2: Pass your knowledge on to other players.

Step #3: Directly contribute to another player achieving something you couldn't do on your own.

Until you do this, you haven't actually accomplished anything at all.

Best,

One thing I didn't see was "visit the anomalies/easter eggs." While it's just going back to planets/moons you've been to before, it's still something additional to do.

If you play career mode, start over with the career mode set to Hard. If you don't play career mode, play career mode.

And do it without any mods that show you where the anomalies are. Find them the old fashioned way!

Perform a KSP social/marketing experiment. Have three or four T-shirts made, so you will have clean one to wear while washing the dirty ones... because you will need to wear it every place you go in public. Make the duration of the experiment like 30 days or something. And you must NOT be the one to initiate the conversation.

Each shirt should have the same thing printed on it: ALL of those "I've" accomplishments.

Data to be recorded:

1. total number of people who comment on the shirt

2. total number who recognize the shirt is about KSP

3. total number of compliments received from those who recognize it's about KSP

4. total number who ask what the shirt is referring to

5. situational context when people make comments (i.e. at the mall, movie theater, restaurant, school, etc.)

6. appx age of person making the comment & whether male/female

7. geographic location (not too specific for privacy reasons)

Use a voice recording app on your smartphone or whatever to record the data... however, it's probably best to wait till you are away from each person before recording the results.

Difficulty/realism mods + challenges.

Your first challenge is to install FAR and land a rover from LKO without parachutes, engines, aerodynamic parts or anything else to slow down your descent. The rover must be able to drive away after landing, but it doesn't need to be intact.

With practice, I managed to "land" at just shy of 100 m/s, driving away about 10% of the time.

The VAB hold endless fascination for me. In fact, after two years playing I'm kind of still stuck in Kerbin's SOI. I've built stuff for all the other places, I've launched it, and I know I can fly the missions, but when it comes to actually flying those long missions for real in my main save... I like to do everything in the same save, you see, and some other build comes around to delay everything until a new version breaks the save and I start again from scratch. Good part is, I have one of the biggest, most varied craft collections that you will see. Some day I will get around to using half of them, maybe, if I start flying much more frequently. But who cares? I'm still hugely entertained putting them together, and the only limit is what I can dream up in my head.

Rune. At this rate I think I'll reach Eeloo at least a year after 1.0.

Go for RealismOverhaul/64k!

But if not, download the USI MKS/OKS modpack & ExtraPlanetary Launchpads, and build a *totally* self-sufficient base on another planet, so you can be totally independent from Kerbin.

This has been a dream of mine in KSP for a while, but the closest I've achieved is food/water/oxygen recycling for a Mun base. :)
