it is a real, but mostly empty orion. only avionics, chutes and testing sensors onboard.

so its a half real orion

It's a real Orion, the service module underneath it is the mass-simulator mockup thing.

It's not boilerplate, but it's certainly not going to be carrying any people. There's no use for it after this flight.
