About to land on Mun. Tiny fuel suply

Recommended Posts

If you are at extremely low fuel, i would probably do what i can to ABORT THE LANDING.....

If you are feeling like its possible, save before landing, and hope for the best, if fail after 2-3 attempts, its just cant be done without refueling or a new ship. Generally u need quite a bit of dV to land on the mun, as while its low gravity, its not exactly minmus that requires like 50 dV to land.

Another point of contention, if coming into a body and you know you are about to run out, depending on where you are landing - Abandon ship and EVA, have saved Kerbals on mun and minimus that way a couple times. (Heck on Minimus if you get lucky you can burn EVA back into a low stable orbit hehehe)

Dammit, I don't have enough fuel. Have to use infinite cheats. ARRRGH. >.<

DON'T DOOOO IT!! - send a rescue mission with more fuel and an empty seat in the module and rescue him - if you don't have life support mods then congratulations you've just started up a Mun colony - you can rescue him whenever you get the right skills, parts, funds!

Send a refuel ship and dock with your lander. * Stay in low orbit around Mun and make sure both are going in the same direction ;)

1. Top up fuel tank(s) and undock

2. De-Orbit the lander

3. Do whatever your were planning on doing on Mun

4. Make sure you take off and head in the right direction. Same orbital rotation as the refuel ship (take off when it is overhead)

5. Dock with refuel ship

6. Top up fuel tanks and undock

7. Deorbit refuel ship so it crashed into the Mun

8. Head home to Kerbin
