Like/Subscribe ?

Why does everyone who post/s on youtube ALWAYS tell viewers to like & subscribe ?? I mean there is no need to say it.

I personally only like a video if it is REALLY outstanding or makes me LOL for more than 2 min.

The level of creativity on the internet is outstanding.

They feel the need for attention for some reason. I've never subscribed to a channel unless I find its content either funny or informative, and the old "pls lik n suscrib" has never made a change in that for me.

I always say "Like, Favorite, Subscribe and share please!" at the end of my videos. It may not make more people do any of those four things, but I've been doing it for over a year now and it's practically tradition.

Also, here's what YouTube has to say about subscribing, and how to get more subs:

•Include a call to action in your video encouraging viewers to subscribe (both using a verbal cue and visual cue). Take advantage of annotations.

...in other words, while it may be rather annoying, it is recommended by the pros.

Anyway, that's just my two cents.

Lol, I get what you're saying. I don't mind it when a good youtuber says a little line like that at the end of a video, but some take it overboard and it becomes annoying.

I have no issue with people saying to subscribe them. I'd say people do it almost out of tradition then any other reason. As a YouTuber myself I actually don't usually say to like or subscribe me at the end of my videos. I instead have a 0.2 second long text saying "Avera9eJoe out" at the VERY end of every video. You have to look for it to see it :3.

when i play lotery (wich is pretty rare) i usually don't check the result, imagine if i won once a long time ago what a cool gift
