Hello everyone, I recently completely remade my flag (my old one seen in the bottom left corner of my sig), and I need some input on which of the two versions looks better. I would love to hear your input on this!

Note: the white background is actually transparent.

Looking awesome.

Personally, I'd make a combination: the laurels from 1 & 2 (love the colour gradient), yellow squiggly line under the spaceship from 3, and make the bars on the side not the deep red or light yellow, but something dark orangey in between so they'd complement the laurels better.

Maybe make the yellow circle outline a little darker (like the boxes' border) or keep it black.

Edit: otherwise, go for number one, but give the bars a darker red border rather than a black one.

Thank you for the input! I will whip up another version!

I prefer number 3 because of the reduced number of colours and the lack of gradient in the leaves. If you eliminate the gradient on the dark blue background it will look even more like a real flag. Real flags are almost always built from simple, flat, solid colours, because they are traditionally sewn together from individual pieces of coloured cloth, not printed. Mission patches tend to be more complex than flags but are still usually solid colours because they are embroidered, not printed.
