Old wing parts and more types of landing gear

Hi

If you don't know me, I'm a very small replica creator here. And since the 0.25 update when the old wing parts were replaced my the new SP+ wing parts, I realised I had to change a lot of my replica's designs as I used a lot of the old wing parts. I would rather go for many wings to choose from than just a few types. And it's not just me. You see everywhere now in the KSP community where there are more people wanting the old wing parts back. One thing I also realised is that it was very hard to put landing gear properly with enough clearance on certain designs os planes/spaceplanes. I hope in the next update I can see more varieties of landing gear and the old wing parts.

P.S. If any of you are gonna say that there is a mod that re-adds the old wing parts and adds more landing gear, I know they are out there. But I only make stock replicas, like many, many more people out there.

I'm with you on the landing gear part. There should've been more varity long before we got the new Mk3 parts. As an addition to larger landing gear, I believe there should also be a smaller one, too. Larger sizes are planned for the next update, I believe.

As for the wings, I think the old control surfaces should return, but the other parts seem fine to me.

Unfortunately, I've had no luck getting SQAUD to reply to any of my suggestions or questions no matter how hard I try, so good luck getting your point across.

You or me wouldn't have any luck, but Almost 1/4 of the community is asking for the old parts, bigger landing gear to suit the new Mk3 parts, and more. I'm almost 100%sure squad will add something related to that.

What are you using the old wing parts for that the new ones can't do?

I'm really struggling to figure out a situation where I would prefer the old ones. that small control surface was a useful little guy, but the rest were pretty horrible.

As for the landing gear, I 100% agree. a larger and a smaller would be great! also adjustable ride height would really help.

More (and presumably bigger) landing gear are planned for 0.91, at least according to the 0.90 FAQ. I don't think they will be keeping the old wing parts.

Larger landing gear is going to get implimented soon. They were suppose to make it this update, but there was a refocus on getting the Cargo Bays in instead.

Now onto the topic of the old wing parts.

Adding the old wing parts back in does nothing for the game but add clutter

The old wing parts do nothing special compared to the new wing parts.

And the whole point of the new wing parts is that you dont have to deal with the old ones.

Usually when you say "I make only Stock planes" then you should use the stock wings. Not the legacy wings which are right now not "stock", they were but not anymore.

The closest thing we could ever see is a Offical Mod pack of the legacy wings, but that also brings in a question. Could there be another pack for the older mk3 parts?

I for one would not like to see the old wings back. If I DID whats the problem with just using a mod to get them?

They were removed for a reason, and shouldn't come back because that reason is still valid. (They sucked compared to the new ones, and the new ones do the same things but better)
