SUGGESTION: Easy (and awesome) Visual Kerbal Specialization Scheme

Recommended Posts

I can't at a glance tell my pilots from my engineers from my scientists.

Therefore I suggest the following:

Colorized uniforms (¿¡SOUND FAMILIAR ANYONE?!)

Crimson or Gold = Pilot

Gold or Crimson = Engineer

Turquoise = Scientist

To be perfectly fair and to preempt the battle between "certain" camps, there ought to be an option for the player to choose which scheme they want, or at least for the player to assign the colors they desire.

Split-specialization Kerbals could adopt Ochre, Amethyst, or Dartmouth uniform schemes. Jacks of All Trades could adopt Sienna or Jet uniforms.

Frankly, I can't understand why this wasn't implemented to begin with.

But, but... what about Jeb Bill and Bob's special orange uniforms?!?! Because they were the first (and best) astronauts in the game? D:

On a slightly more serious note, it'd be a cool idea, provided those are left alone. :D

I would take Blue, White, Red for some patriotic reason...

More seriously the color of the various real space suit have been picked for safety the various environment they are used.

More info here.

However, since KSP only use one spacesuit it's not very important.
