Set target

Recommended Posts

Hi, starting new campaign in 0.90 I can't target, which makes rescuing orbiting kerbals challenging.

I'm sure it needs to be unlocked but I can't figure out what buildings/tiers I need.

Thanks.

I believe it's the tracking station that needs to be updated for that.

I believe you have to be able to target objects you don't own (the 3rd tracking station upgrade). I'm stuck in the same place. I costs about 500K so I don't have enough money yet to see if that's what's needed but it seems to fit.

Tracking station and mission control lvl 2 are enough to target distant objects.

You can target nearby object (<60 km away) by double clicking them on normal view (there will be a target if you enabled "show vessel's label" in your settings, or pressing F4 to toggle this option)

Thanks @Kesa that was super helpful for me today!  I started a new savegame and this cleared up my misconception that I had to spend a bunch of credits I don't have yet to upgrade my tracking station in order to complete my mission.
